I've been steadily tweaking this table for Desktop to get a feel I like, and have finally settled in on the following changes:

  • Formatting- Inclination: 56, FoV: 34
  • Global- Table Slope: 6.6, Pf Friction: 0.56, Pf Elasticity: 0.21
  • TAFPF- Elasticity: 0.21, Friction: 0.55
  • Main Flippers- Mass: 1.2, Strength: 2550, Elasticity 0.8, Elasticity Falloff: 0.35, Friction: 0.4, Return Strength: 0.055, Coil Ramp Up: 1

TAFPF object apparently is a raised playfield, so just right click anywhere in the middle of the table to find it. Thing Flips isn't hitting the mark, but I believe this is because I am sharing a single VPinMame installation between VP 10 and VP 9, so the old nvram data doesn't match up.

The above changes have me satisfied with speed, flow and accuracy.

Great table and one of my favourites, i only have one problem, only with this table (have 30 vpx tables now).
The location of the dmd does not stay in one place. When i move it or edit in registry the dmd location is off the next time i start it. Its only the pos_x (horizontal) location thats not remembered. The y pos is good.

Someone any ideas?

The other vpx games copy the pos from default value in registry.

Check that the DMD position isn't hardcoded in the table script....

Not used set dmd. I will look in the code if it is hardcoded. Thanks for the answers.

I have +- 50 tables and three of them have weird dmd issues. Keep you guys posted

Look for anything like the below; just comment it out if needed

        '.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_x")=2173
        '.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_y")=590
        '.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_width")=518
        '.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_height")=134

I did not have problems with the DMD position on this table, so I don't believe it's hardcoded.

Remember that VPinMame will pick up the position for the game specific registry entry.  It will only copy the defaults the first time the game is opened.  I suggest going into the registry and removing the registry entry for Addams Family.     You can find it here.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMame\taf_l1

Just delete that whole key and try again.

There is no positioning in the script for the DMD.

It should actually be TAF_L7 in the registry.

Can you run the setup for vpinmame and test that rom outside of VP.  Move it where you want and then try VP again?

Lastly re-download the latest Vpinmame.dll and overwrite your existing one.

It's good now!

I've deleted the registry entry en started the game again, now it's good.

I really thought i did this obvious option, but i guess i'm a idiot for not trying.

Thanks a lot, going to go further 'bug out' my freshly installation ;)

And here is where you can find the scripts.

Download this VPX Standalone..

http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11572

You will find a scripts folder included with download.

Here are the instructions..

Installation:
Simply copy all of the files in the ZIP into your already existing Visual Pinball directory. Overwrite already existing files there when asked. If you already had the core.vbs script package in your 'Tables' sub-directory previously, either delete these, or move all files contained in the 'Scripts' sub-directory to 'Tables'.

Like delt31 I am also getting the Inclination error but mine is line 160. This is the only table I am getting this on and I am on 10.3 beta 3088.

Any thoughts on this??
