A remarkable accomplishment Groni. As much fun to play as it is just to look at.

I have a strange problem when downloading Groni's tables...there must be some weird compatibility issue between our versions of WinRar or something...every single one of his tables, when I try to unzip I get "File is corrupt" message and WinRar stops sad.gif

The last table (TSPP) Noah had to send me privately zipped under a different compression, at the time I just thought it was that one table, turns out it's all Groni's tables...never had any trouble with the version of WinRar I've got before. (ver 3.10)

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

Considering WinRAR is now on version 3.80, I'd say the first step would be upgrading. You could also try something like the newest 7zip, which should work without issue as well.

I use 7zip to upack all ZIP and RAR files now - and it's FREE.

Gromi,
I noticed that all the other Playfield lights work perfectly...I noticed that you used regular "lights" on the playfields....cant you use the same option for the light between the center of the bumpers as well???

This really is an awesome table. Thanks very much for the hard work.

I am experiencing a bug however, for some reason the decals used in the table do not have alpha channels so the are outlined in black.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how do i go about fixing it?

Thanx in advance.

Plays great, thanks so much! It's just as fun and frustrating as I remember it being in the arcade. smile.gif

Also thanks for the tip on hitting the camera, I was having trouble with that as well.

Looks and plays great, Groni!

Some issues I noticed:

1) The right inlane switch does not register, so you can't get a Dead End.
2) The MiniPF top opto switch (Switch #75) does not register, so you can't get a Jackpot during Powerball Mania.
3) There should be a bit more of delay to the Gumball Machine entrance, as the music gets cut when you load it.
4) There should be less delay when moving the ball from the Camera entrance to the Slot Machine (the "Jet bumper added" fade out sound can't be heard on the real machine).

Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the report.

I fixed the Bugs. But Switch 75 works. I had 2 Powerball Mania Jackpot in 2 Games. So it must work.

There is still one Bug that i registered. The Right Ramp Switch do not register sometimes. So the Ball stucks in the Cage, and you have to wait
since the Table search for the Ball, so the Cage kicks the Ball back to Game. Hmmm but i guess i will find it.
I will take a look at it this evening.

All Bugs should be solved in the next Update.

Yes, i've noticed that too...the ball gets almost instantly into the Gum machine...in that part it behaves like a ping pong ball..

Well, let's give this baby a spin.

The McD

EDIT: Well, the same problem that I had with the PD version remains here, I can't hit the Camera. I guess that's just me, however. Plays quite nicely, it's a tad bit on the hard side.

Note for future updates: Add the 1024-Backdrop.

I'm not sure about this version (haven't tried or looked at it yet so I'm not sure how things were done or set up, but it looks really great in the snapshot, though Groni), but as with the real machine, it's MUCH easier to hit the camera shot on my version of the table if you hold the (upper) left flipper up while shooting it from the upper right flipper. It's extremely easy to hit it then, really. The real machine is the same way. I just got back from Papa12 yesterday and played 4 different TZ machines there.

BTW Groni, if you want a way around the bumper reel/flasher issue, take a look at my latter TAF game. I'm not sure of every VP9 change, but in the final versions of VP8 while you cannot let reels overlap (well at least not active parts), you CAN use something else like a drop wall that overlaps (which is what I use for the flasher between the pop bumpers there) I would not have been able to animate the dead world in Judge Dredd if this were not so. You can also use a light object if you juice the reel at the right time (e.g. see Cactus Canyon). I also found that reels worked great for the 8-level dimming GI effects (TAF doesn't slow down for any lighting effects on even mediocre machines).

I'll try to give the table a play before I leave for my Alaska trip. If not, I'll check it (and VP9) out when I get back.

PacDude's tables can all be found here: http://www.pacdude.pinballnirvana.com/

well normally i use dropwalls for that, but i donīt like to use them on flashing objects, cause dropwalls look darker, so the flashing effect
just donīt look "flashing".

Well maybe in the next version of Vp9 the overlapping Reels are supported ( The largest Stepback from VP8-VP9)
They worked so good in Vp8, and now they just leaved them away sad.gif

How about combining it all in one reel and updating the reel when one element changes?

I thought about that......One Reel with 12 Images / 4 in a Row. One Row for only Bumpers, Next Row for Bumper and Flasher, next row for only Flasher.
This would work I guess. I just have no clue how to code this, I am still a beginner in scripting. ( Withot Dudes Script, i guess i would be lost for years smile.gif )
