In Menu-System, there is a Way to change the Install Country to "Germany" ( or France: Adjustments - Utility - 8 - Install Country ),

but always i get English only - anyone was successful with that ?

Manual from IPDB : " ... choose the Language that is used in the Menus and other Features ... "

Sorry Stat I tried as well to see if I could get the language settings to stay set as anything other than English\ and didn't have any luck. It always said the settings were the saved but when I retunred to the game it was always in English. Could it be that a different ROM set is needed to make the language settings work?

That would be AMAZING !

This is one of the last amazing tables that I wait for to be converted to VPX before I will uninstall VP9.

Far and away the best Alvin G. title, and also my favorite PM5 game. Gtxjoe hit it out of the park with this one.

I know this is an "old" PM5 table, but it doesn't exist in VPX, so I tried to install it.

But I have an issue with it: when the ball comes into the plunger, it's impossible to throw it, because it's as if it would weight one pound...

And after only one try, it's as if the plunger wouldn't want to work anymore: no reaction at all.

I'm up-to-date with VPinMAME and Sambuild 3.2, and I tried the two versions of the ROM, but nothing solved the issue.

What did I miss ?

Any ideas ?

Yes. It is an old table - but, it is also a great playing PM5. And here lies the problem of yours. I'm pretty sure you are trying to start the PM5 mod with VP9. You need to start it with the PM5 exe. The problem you are seeing is that PM5 has very different physics compared to VP9. It is the release of VP that was the forerunner to VPX. Actually still exists great playing PM5's out there.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Thank you Thalamus for your answer.

Alas, what you suggest isn't the solution, because I launch this table with the PM5 exe...

I've tried to launch it directly with the PM5 exe, and from the system dedicated to PM5 tables that I've created  in PinballX (where it automatically launch the PM5 exe for the others PM5 tables I have and that perfectly work), but nothing worked.

So I don't understand where the problem is... I'm still searching, but help welcome !

Hmm. I have a zebs plunger and the latest PM5 for me wasn't really good for me. The plunger became way to strong. So, I play with the older one. But, to me it sounds like you stuggle with the opposite. I find that a bit weird. This is the only table you have problems with - is that right ? I could send you the version I've got here. Might be that I've changed something just fro the plunger to work better on my setup. I'll send you a PM.

Yes, Thalamus, I play a few others PM5 tables without any problem: JackBot, Jurassic Park Lost World, Maverick, Raven, TruckStop... And yes, the only problem I have is with Mystery Castle.

I've just done some others tests...

I'm using  "VPinball99_PhysMod5_Updated.exe" to launch my PM5 tables (1734ko). I found another exe named "vpinball-pm5.exe" (1785ko), and as the name and the size are not the same, I supposed it was another version. So I tried with this one. Then, I could launch the ball with the right strength, but it randomly worked.

As I was able to try the table, I noticed that, with this .exe :

- the plunger works randomly. And it seems you have to wait about 15 to 20 seconds to launch the ball

- some various bugs occured... When the ball falls into the hole at the up center of the table, it takes several seconds before its release, and the table does sounds and looks as it is searching for a missing ball. Sometimes, after the loss of a ball, 2 new balls come into the plunger. Some other times, when the game is over, another ball comes out from under the table, and you can continue to play ! Etc...

After these tries, I tried again with my previous .exe, and now "it works" as with the second .exe: I can randomly launch the ball and play, but with a lot of bugs...

I really don't understand what happens with this table ! It's really disappointing, because Mystery Castle is very cool despite all these "mysteries" that happened to me... :hmm:

EDIT

I don't know if it has some kind of importance, but I run W10 and the last rev of Sambuild.
