Loaf,

I know mwhat you mean, but it's a little more complex. The table uses the old qualifier to store the settings. This was designed so that the old settings don't have to be set once again. So there might be users, who have used UVP. If we have such a situation, then the following happens: The table starts, reads the old settings and finds UVP as a controller. Even it's no longer selectable in the config dialog, it still needs to be supported for backward compatibility. So it's handled in the table.

But I don't think, that this is a general problem. The table had 180 downloads, and I see presently only one environment with problems. That might be a specific thing, but I need more and clear information to help ...

I have an issue with the new version, F6 will not work for me to open table options menu (for any table) I don't know why, it never has.  "Disable start menu next start" is enabled by default so when I un-comment line to reset registry or make changes temporary I can get the menu but it won't save when I un-check 'disable menu next start' it's redundant.  If the 'disable menu next start' wasn't on enabled by default it wouldn't be an issue, is there something I can change to disable it by default?

William: did you change anything in the script before trying the table and did you rename the table and db2s?

Sindbad: just to be clear I was not suggesting to support UVP, just wanted to mention it's always possible someone could change something in the script to try and enable it so wanted to ensure you realize either it's missing from the f6 option screen or perhaps at some point remove the code from the script in case a user misinterprets. I think in 99.999% of the time, there should not be a problem the f6 option is there to facilitate enabling and disabling, anytime members don't need to edit the script is a good thing

Ok I redownloaded physmod 5, the fs flash gordon table didn't rename it and it still crashes. I made some stills of the error but don't know how to upload an image on here. Remember how I said the first error screen says "invalid controller selected, defaulting to vpinmame". Well that is followed by a second error "machine not found!! invalid game name or game not set" then it just goes to the fs table no vpinmame loads, no lights, scores etc.

Well that is followed by a second error "machine not found!! invalid game name or game not set" then it just goes to the fs table no vpinmame loads, no lights, scores etc.

Ok I got this problem solved. I had a hunch my errors were due to script problems so I played with the script. I removed all the lines that made the game selectable as B2S, uvp or vpinmame controller and changed them to make the game run only in B2S. I also added the line to line 24 CGameName= "flashgdn" It seemed to be missing, that's why my computer was confused, it didn't seem to have a game to play and there was a conflict. I don't know why it worked in 9.9 and not physmod but now it plays with no selectable startup menu and I can live with it.

I got to try out devil riders and was interested in the script comparison between the two. I was having an issue with that game too, so I also removed it's menu the same as Flash Gordon. It wouldn't load the B2S even if it was selected, it would just run full time vpinmame controller no matter what i did so now it runs B2S full time. The CGameName line was in that game and that helped me to troubleshoot Flash Gordon. So it works now!! :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap:

Seeing flash gordon now the physmod is very impressive good job guys. :bar4:

Dark,

as far as I understand you need to uncheck the checkbox by default, right? So you have to change a line in script, it's line 1667. Simply change "TableOptions = 1" to "TableOptions = 0". That should work.

Is it easy to make the ramps more "sticky"? Seems way too easy to get it up the ramps..and out to the plunger lanes.

Yes, it is: A wall directly in front of the ramps will make it more difficult to get the ball up the ramps. Joking apart - it's physmod table. The ball goes where it should go. Most of the users are very happy about this, you're not. That shows me, that it doesn't matter how much effort is put into a table, doing it right for all users is impossible.

So what you can do is to reduce the strength of the flippers and move the posts more in direction of the middle of the playfield.

Thanks... I may try a few tweaks but definitely a must play in my cabinet. Being a noob and not having made a table, I didn't know if it's a bug or the nature of the game. Appreciate all your efforts!

Sindbad, fantastic work, your new version of Flash Gordon looks and feels improved I every way and really shows how much you elevated your table building skills. In fact it is so much fun I spent a few hours playing your new table exclusively trying to better my score, which says a lot when you consider all the quality choices we have at our disposal. Bravo for a job well done and thank you for all your hard work! :otvclap:
