Todd,

... I don't have all versions installed, and I believe the test crew also not. But I don't want to limit the table to the versions I've installed (9.9.0) and the physmod version. So in this case it seems we all need 9.9.0 to get it working correct.

Todd,

are you talking about the bumper caps or the domes on the caps? See-through domes is a known problem. Is this the case?

Hi, I'd post a pic but my room is a 'tip' at the moment and I'd have to setup my notebook to get a proper screen-cap to show the problem.

Basically in Vpinball 9.2.1 the bumper caps are 'corrupted' and see through (I hope that's an adequate description.) and I believe this is due to the new DX9 rendering improvements in Vpinball 9.9.0.  (I'm hoping this is not being taken as a criticism?)  I'm merely trying to point out that if this table is created using techniques particular to Vpinball 9.9.0 that make it non-backward compatible to Vpinball 9.2.1 that you simply modify the file name and description to clarify this and prevent any unnecessary e-mails from being sent to you for help.

Best Regards,

Todd.

p.s. after updating my notebook to Vpinball 9.9.0 I would like to say that you did a superb job recreating Buck Rogers!

Todd,

I just installed VP 9.2.1 and it looks terrible. This is not the known problem I wrote about. And yes, I'll take your post as a criticism, but as a necessary one in a yery pleasant way. :rolleyes:

Here in Germany, we speak about constructive and destructive criticism. Constructive criticism (like your post) is always welcome.

So, I'll change the description.

I am trying to download from the link you have setup. I get an error message saying I don't have permission. :( Any ideas why?  Thanks Jeff

Not sure if this is the right place to raise this issue, because the table looks and plays great, thank you Sindbad.  I've been actively into this great hobby for almost 3 years, and have never seen this problem before.

For some reason, when I add 'Buck Rodgers (Gottlieb 1980)' to my HP menu (Visual Pinball.xml), the Wheel Images don't match the playfield and backglass art anymore.  For example, I see two lots of Abra Ca Dabra wheel images, the first matching Abra Ca Dabra playfield and backglass images, the second over the top of the Addams Family playfield image.

If I exit HP and go back in, it then shows two Big Brave wheel images, one matching the Big Brave playfield image and backglass images, the second over the top of Buck Rodgers playfield image, and all subsequent wheel images are out of sync.

If I remove  'Buck Rodgers (Gottlieb 1980)' from the menu, it all goes back to normal.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks.

Not with Buck Rogers, but I have something similar going on with PinballX and Playboy. The wheel logo, table image and backglass image of the older table shows up for both the Bally and the Stern table as well. Both of the tables play fine after selecting them though.

This is the only case where such a thing happens... couldn't yet figure out what's going on.

I had that issue with playboy tables and Simpsons tables. I had to rename one of the similar named tables to playboy_stern and match backglass and all media to that name and solved issue. Same with Simpsons. Oh! And Star Trek and Star Wars tables aswell Basically have one table with underscores and one with spaces or no spaces playboystern would also make it different

FYI, I tried renaming the table, backglass and media files to many different names, but nothing worked.  The only thing that fixed the problem was deleting the Wheel image.  I was using the Wheel Image from DazzaDasha,

If I use the Wheel Image from the Media Pack by Bitupset, it works fine.  Maybe it's the resolution or file size causing the issue.

I wonder if your guys problems with similar file names could be you have file matching turned on?  I had a similar problem with PinballX when I had that turned on.  I turned it off and make sure all the files have the exact same name and I have no problems.

Just a thought.

I can't seem to get the B2S backglass to work. Not sure what to change in this table. I have this

Select Case cController
Case 1
Hidden = False
Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller")
If Err Then MsgBox "Can't Load VPinMAME." & vbNewLine & Err.Description
If VPMver>"" Then If Controller.Version < VPMver Or Err Then MsgBox "VPinMAME ver " & VPMver & " required."
If VPinMAMEDriverVer < VBSver Or Err Then MsgBox VBSFile & " ver " & VBSver & " or higher required."
Case 2
Hidden = True
Leds.Enabled = 1
Set Controller = CreateObject("UltraVP.BackglassServ")
Case 3
Set Controller = CreateObject("B2S.Server")
Hidden = True

Not sure how to change the option. It asked on first launch and I chose UVP because thats what I had. Now I can't seem to get the B2s to go.
