i can add flashers to x and o and maybe combinations to strobe, but what i really would like is these vp8 rotated needs more love from a built/upgrade point of view, replacing sounds, review of the script, better graphics

imo i prefer to see less releases, with better quality.
what if we try to make a wip of one of these tables, release a beta and if somebody is willing to help to improve, any aspect of the table, be our guest :)
look at uw releases, that is what he does and we are a lot helping him to have one the best tables ever made.
my 2 cents

Angrim i totally agree with you...but! look at Wild Fyre table for example or James Bond, they look and play ok for a rotated desktop table and find it hard to believe anyone will spend time to  make a UW quality table out of it! so for me it is great! i remember a lot of tables from arcades that are not going to be updated anytime soon to vp9-10 and these work fine until the day someone does update them. to have something is better than nothing and maybe inspire someone TO get motivated to update the table. I still cannot believe nobody has redone hercules or Spy Hunter(yes hercules LOL) so the rotated ones are fine for now. I mean if you only had QUALITY tables installed you really would only have 50-60 tables maybe to play! I will add that in real world i only accept 100% quality pinball machines(or i make them 100% quality) and i like good looking women wont settle for low quality there! :)

I'm just sharing what I have. I know these are not on par with the current generation of table builds. As I got further and further into VP it killed the "completist" in me to know all of these classic tables were out there but not in my cab!

The problem I see with the wip idea is the guys who can fix these, probably don't give a shit! And these releases will be months instead of weeks. I think most would prefer a scratch build and that's way out of my reach.

I try to do a good trouble shoot but pretty much all of the tables I release are gonna be older VP8-ish desktop tables and sometimes a little buggy. I can swap out playfields, lights, plungers and tweak on physics and layback borrowed from others but that's about it.

I'll be the Larry Flynn/slumlord I'm not concerned about my reputation and hopefully the big dogs will add to these or get inspired to redo some.

Power to the people!
Agreed, randr. I'd rather have a not so great version than none. Good example is the next table on my list, Bounty Hunter. I can't find better table resources and it REALLY needs it. But it plays well... So do I upload it or sit on it?

upload, as I'm so addicted to adding tables/resources to my cabinet.  As of today I have 699 VP 9.x tables and a few physicsmod5 tables, >1200 FP tables that I dont play because of the physics, along with TPA and PinballFX2.  Yeah some of the rotated tables look bad, but I still like collecting them and having more tables to show off to people who might want a specific table from their youth.  Thanks for your rotated releases!

There's really only a handful of authors still creating tables, and they're going to do the ones that they want to do.They may help here-and-there with other tables but they won't give their attention to a table like x's and o's if they're not into it. Having a VP9 rotated table is certainly better than not having one. And hey, if people have a problem with it, they can learn the VP editor and fix it themselves! We could use more authors.

I'm hoping that when VP10 becomes a reality, authoring will be easier and more authors will join in (I'm hoping to make a table, or at least update one).  Having the new rubber object seems like such a time saver, hopefully more time saving features will follow and we get many more authors! One can dream!

Yes let's pick best looking rotated tables and give them some dof love! Opinions on what ones look good?
I say spy hunter...only cause I want to play it and won't without dof :)

I'd say hold off on Spy Hunter. I've got a nice version using Francisco666's art. He gave permission to use bg but hasn't replied about pf's. He seems to be taking a break... I don't think he'd care but I'd rather wait for full permission.

If I go back to the alphabet, Bounty Hunter and Circus are next, neither particularly nice... The 2 Clowns are after that and they're both pretty nice. Or we can jump around... Actually, Super Bowl is pretty nice...

Dboyrecords for arngrims sake let's pick all the "nicer" looking ones. As he is very picky. ;) then he can choose out if those once he sees them on his cab. I'm hoping someone may get motivated to spruce them up a bit! Maybe I will this winter

ok another on then
lmao
!!

Ha! Spy hunter was one buddy asked if I had and did! He didn't care how it looked he was happy to play it and hear it.
