Heya Tepp, check out JP's latest AFM desktop Beta for the flasher code. (Line 1252 is the start point).

The images you see in the video are the alpha colored images that are included in the Getaway table from Melon.  wf_on / yf_on etc.

Let me know how you go.

Dozer.

Hi all,

Melon encouraged me to report my woes here for Getaway and Black Knight 2000.  On both tables, the ball consistently pulls slightly to the right when it rolls down the table.  On BK2K, for example, when I cradle the ball in the left flipper, it will slowly roll to the right toward the drain.  I'm running version 9.2 and tried all the typical things i could think of such as deleting the files and downloading again, and deleting any registry entries and the nvram file, as I've discovered that starting over sometimes corrects inexplicable problems.  I also booted to Windows XP and found the same problem there.  This hasn't occurred with other tables.  Any insights would be appreciated.

Dozer, Melon and JPsalas,

Any chance of sharing the code with melon to incorporate your fix in a mod of the original release?  As you describe your fix it appears a little too involved for the lay user to do on their own. This is a GREAT table that needs the green blob affect removed during jackpots as it is really noticeable and would make this table all it can and should be. What do you guys think? :otvclap:

I'd be happy to upload the mod I've done (have a day or two more to finish it) if it's ok with Melon.   I'll finish it up here locally and check with him and if all is ok I'll submit it.

If Melon is keen to fix the original perhaps I could upload this one at some stage as a "flasher mod" or similar.

Updated to 1.0.1

Added ball to ball collision sound (the code was there, but the sounds not)
Now when you shot the right ramp the ball goes to the left flipper (as in the real machine) so that you can shoot multiple loops.
Changed some code from the GI so that now those green rectangles don't appear during Jackpot.

About the flashers: It's been only 3 days since I released the table and it's normal to find bugs. You can't imagine how much time it takes to make a table from scratch with Visual Pinball at least you have made one. Of course I'm not going to allow a mod only 3 days after releasing a table.
If you like the flashers, I'll take a look at it and maybe I'll upload a new version with the new flashers. So Dozer, if you want you cand send me the table and I'll merge those changes with the changes I'm making right now.
Regards.

I've sent a PM to Melon with a link to the flasher mod.

Out of respect for the fact that the table has just been released, any subsequent changes to the table will be handled by Melon.

Cheers,

Dozer.

finally got a chance to try out this table. version1.0.1

played it many times, and noticed a few things happening.

not too sure but the upper right flipper seems a little bit weak to get the ball around to lock a ball up the small ramp.

i was able to do it a couple of times when hit very precisely, but most times it couldnt make it up the ramp.

also, ball gets stuck sometimes under the ramp that raises up and down to lock the balls in the upper right area of the playfield.

the other thing that has been happening, is the ball sometimes collides with the diverter on the left ramp after traveling around the super charger loop.

it should exit down the left ramp to the left flipper, but a bunch of times it hit the diverter and fell down the left ramp instead. anybody have a fix for this?  thanks/sparky
