No idea about the visual c++ runtime... I will check!

Is this new requirement? The pre-alpha version worked ok in my cab.

Yes it's needed by the directjoy.dll which was not on the pre alpha

i hope it will work on my windows8 64bits pincab this time ;)

TO ALL OF YOU !! PLEASE READ THIS !!

I've made some mistakes while packing my tables, so if you encounter problems with BK2K,DRDUDE,CLASSOF1812 and IJ , please download them again.

They are on the server well packed now.

Really sorry the inconvenience

This system I'm trying out on is obviously not the best but as I mentioned earlier I cannot get above 25fps in a fresh Win8 64 install.

It's by far more stable than my Win7 though , but the Win7 can get 60fps. The Win8 is using the latest Nvidia drivers but the Win7 I think is using a lot older less buggy drivers. So I could try that.

Puts me in a no win situation, dual core 3ghz 4gb ram  2gb gfx isn't cutting it. Need to get on phone to NASA to ship me in a cpu that can handle what this wants to eat.

I wouldn't be worried at all about hosting roms, art, or tables - the worst that could happen is you are asked to take them offline.  But since VPForums, and pinsimdb do the same thing and we're ok.

Gave it a quick try in editor mode on my crappy laptop, best I got was the editor displaying with all options but no gfx for the table.

Editor looks very promising though.

I will try on my main PC soon.

Is there a template script.cs to work from for a fpt import? Non pinmame.

Namespaces, objects etc?

No template at the moment, sorry.....We must think about it, indeed.

The first thing you can do at a first time is create a solution in MonoDevelop and link one of our table's script to it.

To get code assistance in Monodevelop, add to this solution references to these dll: Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll, System.dll, UnityEngine.dll, VPinMameTypeLib.dll (located in the Unit3D Pinball_Data\Managed folder)

Doing this you can start looking for the sacred Graal  :winetoast:

Can you try swaping your first and second monitor in windows configuration panel ?

Awesome, I managed to get my table loaded by removing most statements from one of the released table scripts and literally have been popping the ball around the table with the right click and firing it all over the shop lol.

When it comes to debugging game, the time this is going to save!

I hope I can find the flipper controls in the references. On it.

To modify flipper bounciness and friction, open the table explorer, select the flipper =>there you can mod it's physic material

To modify flipper speed and power look at the curves editor and physics tuner

Nope, no "real fullscreen all", that's not possible.

You could use either ATI eyfinity or NVIDIA surround to merge your two displays as a single one and then use real fullscreen)

Oh yeah , I have messed with all that before but coding the flipper to work with a key press is the issue :db:

ok, are you trying a VPM Rom ?

if yes=> it depends on the driver used (we handle only ATM GTS3 s11 and WPC)

if no=> try to put this at the end of your Init function:

m_AutomaticFlipActionCB = true; // flipper will be actioned directly from buttons , not controlled by the ROM

This is amazing! :) Thanks for all the hard work.
Hope to get everything running by tomorrow.

Once you are ready to start with the DOF integration, please let me know. I'll be happy to help.
There is just one problem to solve. DOF cant be called directly from Unity, due to the Used Mono version (DOF is c# 4.0). I think we'll either need a wrapper for DOF which hiddes the true nature of DOF from Mono or we need some kind of communication infrastructure which can send data to a separately running DOF process. I'm sure we will find a solution.

No, I won't be developing any pinmame games, just originals. I'm gonna give up for now and wait for some documentation on the libary you have. I shouldn't really waste anymore time adjusting script , loading table, adjusting script, loading table.

Maybe you can get a quickstarter template script going for original games at some point, no rush.

I've had fun with it this evening, even though it has just been me mainly pointing the ball at the flipper and watching it fly off the screen, easily pleased.

Cheers, love it

wow, great job.  I really love how you can see the ball launch out of the playfield kicker and get some air in Class of 1812.

1 small fix, update version in the menu options (it still says Pre Alpha 2).

Really like how 1812 and scared still plays!  Thanks Team!

Also I have to hide my windows taskbar so it does not show with fake full screen, is that normal?

When launching Unit3D Pinball.exe by double clicking the exe in Windows explorer, I just get this:

Extractor
(X) Impossible de trouver le chemin spécifié.
OK

Then a small, blank window with "Extractor" in the title bar. Closing this closes the entire application.

When I launch it by dragging Dr Dude.upt onto a shortcut of Unit3D Pinball.exe, I get a loading progress bar DMD, some messages about compiling scripts, then:

Oops!
The game crashed.
The crash report folder named "2014-02-20_180516" next to game executable.
It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!
OK
