toxie: I still get exit to desktop if I go into the Pause menu and then hit Resume, even with the latest r934 merged in. Unfortunately this is now in the Test8 release...

Sorry, my bad

I am having problems whith all tables i have in 9.2.1 final. Always shows this error: "Atempeted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt".

Tested in the following table:

- Attack_From_Mars_NIGHT MOD_VP920_v3.5_FS_3-WAY-GI

- Bad-Cats_VP915_1.1.3FS

- Creature_from_the_Black_Lagoon_FSHD_Mod_1.1

- Cirqus_Voltaire_Platinum_Edition-JPSALAS-ROSVE-AARONJAMES-TEPPOTEE-KOADIC_v1.5_FS_B2S

- Medieval-Madness_VP91x_2.4.3FS

- The Addams Family Gold_VP92_FS_Updated_Jan_1_2014

and others

All tables work well in VPinball 9.2.1 rev932.

My system:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Intel i3-2100 @ 3.10GHz

8 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti

I thought I was crazy, I couldn't get 9.2.1 to work either, I tried 3 days in a row, I get the same error, I have been using VP since 2001, about 50 daily rev versions all work. My specs....

Windows7 Home Premium, service pack 1, AMD FX 8120 Eight core processor, 3.10 Ghz, 8Gb Ram, 64bit OS, Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 2 GB card with 331.65 driver, which Nvidia says my driver is uptodate. I don't want an older driver, my pc is for all pc games.

That's with no frontend, no cab, just trying to load a table.

I'm having this same issue as well.  I tried to upgrade from 9.1.5.

I just updated the installer with Koadics build. For whatever reason my own compiled version seemed to have problems on some machines.

Unfortunately for your issues this shouldn't have helped anyhow. :(

This was more targeted at the weird crashes that some people were seeing.

hello.

Upgraded also to 9.2.1 (from 9.2.0.) and now I have a Problem at all my tables at the loading: "line 1: data not found".

Maybe I made something wrong while updating? I only pushed the Setup button. Do I have to do anything else?

Thanks,

HP

Anyone know if this is solved yet?  I still have these same symptoms (memory error) and when I revert to 9.2.0 I have no issues...?

This was posted 10th March by toxie. I think most people got the issue resolved by this.

Have you tried the latest uploaded version?
46", 32", PinDMD2-Vishay DMD, MK MSI Z87-G43 ATX Motherboard, Intel Core i7 4770K 3,5 GHz Processor, 16GB, ASUS GTX760 for the Playfield, ASUS GT610 for the Backglass (driver 334.89), Intel 530 SSD 240GB, Windows 7 x64, VirtuaPin Digital Plunger Kit. VP 9.9.0a and PinballX 1.84

I tried it on April 10th just before I made my initial post; I completely removed 9.2.0 and downloaded and used the full installer for 9.2.1.  I was getting

memory errors on every table at that time again.  So is there an updated version since then?

And I'm sorry I don't know what 'Koadics build' exactly refers to...?  Does that mean the latest full Visual Pinball 9.2.1 install package?

Thanks

Gotcha... but with April 10 being well after March 21 I would think that would still be the latest update...?

It still shows memory errors on every table after running the full install package that was downloaded on 4/10.

Can anyone else who has solved this for themselves shed any light on why the 'latest build' would still be showing a user memory errors?

Perhaps is there something in the registry that the installer is changing and I need to modify or delete something before trying again?

I want to make sure I'm not missing a step in the process:  Both times I have tried using the installer to repair/update,

trying to see if it works (which it doesn't), then uninstalling fully and starting the installer from scratch, then trying to see if it works.

Neither way I've tried to install 9.2.1 changes the memory errors, including just swapping the .exe file for the newest one.

Hopefully there's a different fix or solution, or a different link to the installer package that I'm missing?
