What's the link?

It's probably because I merged two topics into one on this table.

Ah, thanks. That'll be the reason.

I'll take a 5 minute break away from playing your table to say fantastic job Groni. It is so close to perfect I have to smack my monitor to pretend I'm hitting the top glass when I lose a ball too quick.

I think the VP9 physics turned out just right when it comes to nudging. Super job.

This Table is completley made from Scratch. Thanks to JP for some helpful Tips & Tricks

I'd thank him for the scratched table template too.... Attack From Mars.

The table is awesome and you did a fantastic job! It's a little bouncy at times and the flipper's aim seems off to me, you aim for the side and it almost goes up the middle. The nudge is just awful, but that is not really your fault.

It's still a five star table.... Great work.

Any reason for locking the sounds and images? Some of us like to change backdrops and stuff.

Nice looking table Groni , could you please upload an unlocked version.

Another question, I don't know if download resume works here at vpforums.org? Can you upload a copy of the table to megaupload or PN? The reason I ask is because some of us are still on very slow dial up and don't like having to download the same file over and over to get it. Thanks

Yes i should thank him for that too smile.gif Even if there is not much left but the TableInfo and some Objects. At the beginning I thought it would be easier to
take an existing Table, but then with more learning and learning, I found out that it doesn´t Matter if you use an existing one, or start from "0". So I´ll save
some time for some adjustments smile.gif

Yeah the Nudge is the Horror!! I´ll played around for Hours with it. I used Noahs Script, but then after many tests, i decided to switch back to normal
Nudge. Basicly it´s just a matter of Time, till Nano brings out a new Version, with hopefully better Nudge Settings.

The Aim of the Flipper should be like Original. Vati told me that they are very close to his machine. But I have to do an Update, so i check that.
Did you test it with my new Settings I´ll posted here? With longer Flippers the aiming changes a little. They have to be 129

Greetings

GRONI

I totally agree with humid.

Bob, you must like absolutely no nudge, as found in VP 8, and that's fine. To each their own, but there comes a time when you're just...

We get it. We got it the last dozen times.

The nudge in VP 9 is WAY more realistic than VP 8. I even use VP 8.1693 (PBW version) for all my VP 8 tables, because of the total lack of nudge in Vp 8.1.

Now, I play real pinball often, at least 10-12 games a week, and I have no problem at all with nudging the ball to the left or right when I need to avoid a SDTM situation without hitting anything, so I really can't see any validity to your point, and it's just getting absurdly repetitive.

@ GRONI - I was the first to download it, and I was skeptical at first. Then, you posted the flipper and slope values, and that really made it work. I like the elasticity of the rubbers on this table. It may be a bit much, but I'd rather have that than too flat. I think it's a common oversight to not increase the elasticity.

I do get a lot of bad hits on the left ramp, and they end up coming back down after stopping abruptly. I don't know if it's the glass it's hitting or something else, but it seems like an unnatural event.

Also, I agree with Bob about unlocking the images and sounds. For me, the sounds are more important in this case. I would like to change the flipper sounds, if I changed anything, and it would be nice to have that option.

Thanks for an awesome addition to our table collections, and I look forward to your next one!

Yes I know the left Ramp is a Bitch smile.gif It´s very High, of course higher than the real machine, cause there is no way to make it in one Piece. You need to add
a flat part on it. I worked with RampHelper Switches that should transport the Ball when hitting with a slow ball.
From 100 Hits the Ball went 60 Times on it. But I guess i need to find a better way for fixing that Problem. Maybe JP could me help out with this sort
of Problem.

Vati told me that the elasticity is too low smile.gif hmmm I guess I leave it like it is now, otherwise it gets too much.

Unzip it to your desktop, rename it, and move it into your Visual Pinball folder.

GRONI, yes, it would be nice to see the 'non-hardware rendering' version as well .. if that is not too big of a problem .. Thanks!
And, with the '2nd screen for Backglass'-lovers in mind, it would be really nice to unlock the script wink.gif

Once again .. a fantastic release!

Cheers,
FD.

Sorry: disregard my 'unlock-the-script' part .. already adjusted & working really nice with the 'auto-backglass'!

So I played a few rounds and must say, this is excellent work overall! There is just this one problem with VP9... attached pics are with HA on and off. You can clearly see where the problems lie.

I must say that I don't have any problems with VP9! I have a low priced graphic card (Nvidia 8400 GS 256Mb)! All VP9 tables run perfect without any graphic problems!

Exactly. VP9 is a derivative of the VP used in the Ultrapin cabinet. These cabinets used NVIDIA cards, so the Ultrapin VP was reworked to specifically work well with a NVIDIA card. ATIs like mine sit in the dust.
