I wish I could be more help, but with all the various WIPs and configurations of HyperPin, it's not easy to support anymore.
I'll do my best, time permitting.
Well, I understand that. However what I'm baffled by is the fact that it appears Aaron and I have identical software setups on our Virtua Pins(I'm using his EXACT file versions and ini files, etc) and yet my tables are crashing constantly on exit to HS....
Id love to point at HS too, however it seems theres something else at play...
You built both our systems; is there something other than your new controller that differs in the two cabinets?

Yeah, it would help to know which table specifically (including any version number), if you are using the exe mode for the db2s, and any modifications made to table.
With the most recent core.vbs, there is no more need to add a table_exit sub if you have 'vpminit me' in the table_init section (also fixed annoying bug with possibly erroring out). If the table contains an _exit sub, then it overrides the ones in the core.vbs...' New in 3.42 (Update by Koadic)

What table, specifically, is giving you trouble?

What version of VP are you running? The one I set up or did you overwrite that with Aaron's setup, too?

I sent him VP 9.1.6 ...a few revisions ago.Never trust a guy from Shelby Township.
Lowepg, do you know where to find all the latest VP builds at?
Search member Kodiac, and look in his signature for the link to Dropbox.
I'm using the same FP launch as member in2kiss who also of course has the VirtuaPin and we are fine.
It is not the latest FP launch however.
At least your able to play everything ATM in plain VP program without Hyperpin , right?Lowepg, you may want to consider doing a fresh install of the programs.
Have you installed Microsoft net framework program? ( I believe that's what it was called)
I remember having to install that to get normal b2s files working properly.

I tried using both Aarons HP and VP- EXACTLY the way he had it setup (since he said his was working).... the ONLY exception was I'm runing a real DMD. However, just to take that out of the equation, I copied the old non-DMD vpinmame.dll file back in to see if that made a difference and it didn't 0ther than caused my dmd not to work)
i think it was actually a version behind what I had already installed (VP and fplaunch).
Aaron,
Yes, installed .NET framework.... other than that- its the vanilla XP install that came with the cabinet. I know how to update the files, but that kind of defeats the purpose of using your setup that was working on (seemingly) identical hardware....
Noah,
Do you have a working setup that you have tested on the machines your building now that works with b2s tables? That's what I thought you were sending me to try last week....

Update:
No working solution for Hyperpin + VP + Virtua Pin.
But, before I started reinstalling, unplugging the DMD, etc, etc - I downloaded pinballx.
2 minutes to install.
uses same database xml as HP
cut/pasted media directories
reconfigured the exit key
BAM, 5 minutes total later (and 3 of those minutes was copying the video directory) I was done.
No crashing, just pinball.
I don't love the default "look" of the menu as much, but I suspect that's configurable.
Id like to get HP working still, but I'm tempted to just say "F#$% HP."
:-)

I'm sorry, I've racked my brain, and I can't figure the problem out.
If I was close to where you live, I'd come over and try to fix, lmao
I just keep thinking its something with FP launch.
