Hi guys, I have a problem with transparent ramps,I just cant see them, I mean they are invisible as on the screen below. I`m not using HD render mode, because I can only play VP on laptop and it`s card is not supporting it. Does any of you have any idea how to solve it?

I'm sure your card "supports" HD render, though maybe what you are saying is that tables are too slow with it on?
Did you check you gpu driver settings? If you have forced AA on or something like that, it could cause glitches.
Is your driver updated?
Your texture in the plunger lane looks messed up as well.

Btw, your screenshot is way too wide!
I'm guessing you are playing these 4:3 tables with a widescreen resolution. Might not be the cause of your glitches, but tables will look better if you set it to (or create if need be) a proper 4:3 resolution.
I don't play much on my laptop, but I created a proper 4:3 resolution for it. My native laptop resolution, like many laptops, is 1200x800. So I created a proper 4:3 resolution that wouldn't scale the image by using the same pixel height as my native rez.
So, the rez I created was 1067x800. Works perfectly.

Also, what are the laptop specs? I know my laptop plays OK with HD Render on, & its not the best laptop, decent for being a few years old I guess.

Hi, thank for your reply, well the card supports the HD rendering in some games but the card is integrated with the main board and many games doesn`t support it. Many tables (not all of them) on VP witch got the HD render option on says "unable to create off screen surface" and they work only when I turn that option off. It worked fine on my PC but I can`t use it now. Most of the tables works fine tho, but I like this table in real and its nice recreation so it would be nice to see the ramps. 1666mhz procesor 1gb ram but the card is mobile chipset familiy 224 mb (integrated with main board) and that makes a problem.

and I`ve already changed the resolution to 1024x768 witch is 4:3 and I normaly used this one I`ve just experimented with other ones as I thought that may solve disapering ramps problem and I`ve made a screen shoot on this one.

The transparent ramps made using a translucent image (the normal transparency in VP9) don't work with HR disabled.
Now the only thing you can do is to replace the !translucent image with an image similar to this one (set the transparent color to black).

Using a picture like this you'll see the transparent ramp without HR

Update to 3.0

Why do I need to alter the script to see a DMD in a 4:3 table...............

I assume he means the room above the table that is sometimes kept free so people can pull their DMD there. He means that with DMD, and what you mean with DMD, he calls "VPM window".

Heheh, you know Spanish people don't speak very well other languages smile.gif, yes what I call the DMD is that place on top of the table where you can put the "vpm DMD window" smile.gif

Thanks for great update JP!

Personally i like a lot the ramps are so transparent (not using HD r) since
then i can see the droptargets to the left and the orbs shot to the right
as swell as some of the lights.

http://vpforums.org/...109/totan30.jpg

Some changes i did:
Adjusted the PF picture -10% brightness and +5% contrast
made a really great improvement! the playfield become less grainy
and the contrast to the lights become much better!
Very recommended.
