the dmd is for HD on ONLY.

For guys with the HARDWARE DEVICE RENDER OFF:

on the table, there is a white text to show the scores on the side, right on top of the machine gun.

On the script, find the text: textbox
There sould be two places in the script with a comment in front, a '
So just remove the ' and the text will appear

for FS users, the dmd is on the apron.

the dmd does NOT work at all for my desktop rig

hence all those green zeros on it that is also why HC tells us to go the 'textbox' route

which did work but I still show the nonworking dmd

and was just trying for a nice way to get rid of it or hide it

That's fine Faralos but ensure you specify it's hardware render related not desktop related. I just would not want any newbies reading this thread to think desktop users get short changed. I can appreciate what u are asking.

Let us remember many users are capable of running desktop tables with HR on...

not having tried it yet but is it possible for us 4:3 users

to move the textboxes over to where the non-working dmd is?

just wondering if that would not only clear up those ugly green zeros

but also have the scoring display near where it should be

at the back of the pin... HC?

and PEOPLE these settings are for my computer only

and does not reflect on the authors or their table

you can try anything you want :)
i think the best way is to put (i don't know how!) an off frame on top and then to put the text boxes on top of it, but instead of white they should be red. this is probably changeable in the scrip (again, i don't know how).

in attach, here is an off frame of the dmd.

I guess faralos knows how to that, to simply move the text boxes on top of the dmd, and at the same time make the textboxes not transparent and change thei color.

just curious as to why you guys didn't make one that had it already in place  for us 4:3 users

would have been nice...

I haven't had much time to play VP lately, but I specifically scheduled time this weekend to give this table a go (as I've been anticipating it for a while), and it is GREAT! There's a lot about it I love, but the main things that stick out that make this original is Tony's pinball gun and the cool lights, especially the purple one on the back wall. Thanks to Hassanchop and JP and Rascal for pulling this off. I hope to see (and maybe work on) more great orginals like this in the future.

It has nothing to do with the 4:3 format. Your card can't handle hardware rendering, that's all. According to a lastest poll, most people are using hardware rendering. So there is no need to limit anymore what VP can do. I always have been making my tables so they could be played on older computers, but seeing that most people can use HR so there is no point in not using the latest VP innovations, like alpha ramps and primitives. My next table, Star Wars trilogy, will use plenty of alpha ramps and primitives, and it will be "fast & furious" :)

wait a sec...'fast and furious' you say

that wouldn't by any chance be on the agenda for your next project would it?

a 'fast and furious' pin?

and as for the HR thing I swapped out one of my towers for the other

and now CAN turn HR on. so finally I too can join the 21st century!

Thanks for the explanation though JP

Whew this table is tough!! Lovin it.

-I'm getting a bug where the extra ball shot won't register. Got it several times, I hit the orbit and no eb.

-At the start of the Cop sting event (ME#8 i think) balls are launched over and over but won't put it into play, it just ends up back at the plunger. When mission ends then table goes back to normal and puts ball into play. This happens every time I start this event.

I'll take a look at the extra ball thing. But the second "error" it is supposed to be like this :) You have about 30 seconds to score as many "skillshots" as possible :)

Oops so sorry, I should have read the rules more carefully...  I'm really enjoying this table. If I could only get to that final event!
