I just downloaded it and the sounds are there. Also, you should see the missing kicker image on the right side of the table.
Open the table and check that you see short_1, short_2 and short_3 in the sound manager and you'll know you have the latest.
If not, redownload it.

On this new version, Set Controller = CreateObject("UltraVP.BackglassServ") is enabled by default and Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller") disabled.

Correct. You'll want to use UVP for this game so you can see the displays in the backglass and the diamond count to beat.
See animated backglass section for the download.
If not, simply comment out the UltraVP line and uncomment the VPinmame line.

If you use the UVP you want Hidden=1 so you don't see the vpinmame window, since the scores are displayed on the backglass.

Very nice, one of my fav machines! I used to break the centre drop targets on this extremely frequently. The arcade owner used to get super pissed at me but it was Gottlieb's fault, not mine.
I seem to remember that you could enter the secret passage from both directions, anybody else remember that?

True, I had to replace my drop targets twice when I owned it. They were hard to find, thats for sure.
The secret passage and the other passage had one way gates on them, so you could only enter them from the mid playfield.

Any idea how to set the replay levels? Couldn't find it in the script and no mention of it in the PP manual.

Anyone else having an issue with the display on the apron not working right?
Sometimes it displays correctly but often segments are missing and you can't read it right. Any fix for this?
I was wondering: is there a solution to this problem? The credit and ball in play counters are garbled most of the time. Something like this:
PP_display.jpg 10.6KB
30 downloads
It would be great to get this fixed...

As an answer to my own question: I think I found the solution.
The problem appears to be caused by the usage of UVP. To fix it, do the following:
- use the new directB2S backglass instead of UVP
- make sure you remove everything from the table that is related to UVP. This means: delete the timer called LEDs and also the subroutine Leds_Timer() in the script.
Apparently even the presence of the timer and the subroutine still will cause those digits to be messed up, even if UVP itself is not active. After removing the above, I didn't see any garbled digits during 7 or 8 games, so I think the issue was fixed.

The UVP backglass probably isn't programmed to include the apron digits. Pharaoh and I ran into the same issue with Medusa. For all the digits to function correctly, they have to appear on the UVP backglass. Simply include the apron digits somewhere on the UVP backglass and make their size tiny so that they are no longer visible.
Best Regards,
Todd.
