No i ment in the editor. Where the plunger would be there are 2 rectangle boxes one is plunger and the other is plunger 1. i believe the mechanical plunger check box must be checked for the analog plunger to work. I didn't test it as my cab is in pieces. Ill hook up the diy plunger and test it tomorrow and have a fix for it

Is there a media pack hiding anywhere for this table?

I have downloaded 2 different rom sets, made sure they were both named "freddy", and when I try to launch this table, I get a missing roms message.
It can find all the roms in the folder, except the one marked "gprom". I HAVE the gprom file in the folder, but for some reason, VP is not recognizing it! It keeps telling me it's not present in the folder!
How do you get this stupid program to recognize the file?
Update: I tried to run it in a window, and now it's giving me this error message "Could not create texture offscreen surface", and it crashes afterward.

I used to get the offscreen surface error on some tables.
Changing the textures to "1024" instead of "unlimited" in the VP video options fixed that error.

Media pack = wheel image, table image/table video, backglass image, flyers & instructions

i KNOW what it is does any1 actually use the flyers & instructions? the rest is uploaded and use pinscreengen for table image which not only does a better job BUT it makes an image that ACTUALLY matches your table! so again you dont need a media pack.

I agree. The Flyers and instruction cards never install to my Hyperpin folder correctly anyway. I always end up just skipping their installation.
Plus I use my own table images anyway, since the older media packs use horribly low resolution images.
The thing I like the most about the packs is that I can just copy and paste the table text to the settings folder.
Not sure why the flyers and instruction cards never install correctly.

imho only KIDS play pinball and dont look at the instructions. and considering that most of the members here aren't kids i say they do use the instruction card feature.
i personally have a 5" oled screen mouted on my apron and with a few mods now loads the instruction card to a 4th screen when the table loads and closes when the table exits. and considering this will be a standard feature in hyperpin one day a full media pack should include instruction cards for future proofing.
just because you don't use them blade doesn't mean you should start giving out advice to people saying that they don't need them.
and pinscreengen does a better job than what? hitting printscreen works just as good

hitting printscreen won't load the table, take the pic, save it and all you do is sit back and watch or even generate the xml for you!

I don't remember blade advising people not to use instruction cards.
I believe all he asked was if anyone actually used them.
Nice to know that you do.
And I really just think he meant that I could set up the table in my cabinet easily without waiting for a media pack.
I don't think he meant that people should not make or use them.

Awesome table! Thanks to all those involved and also bitupset for his media pack
One question re the sound levels. Have tried finding sound controls for the game as id like to hear freddy a bit louder over the game sounds but i cant find an option anyway. Was it analog sound control with the real machine?

In a couple of says i will have an update. Just waiting to see if anyone finds any more bugs.
Will add an options menu to disable the alpha flashers.
Since the desktop version is played on a lot of laptops i will reside all the textures, which should fix any of the surface area errors and hopefully bolts freddy head issues.
Also will check the.pinwizard code to make sure it.is functioning properly.
Will try to hardcore the start button to the upstart key as it is now coded to the 1 key.
Back to.work
-Scott
and thank you for all the nice comments
Sorry i usually make a media pack and i forgot. Thanks butipest.
Maybe ill make a custom ic for the table also

Yes, this table had analog controls, as all of the Gottlieb System 3 tables did. Never understood why Gottlieb never integrated volume into their DMD tables like the other manufacturers did.
However, there may be a way to increase the volume through the PinMAME DMD display. You may have to try this outside of Hyperpin as I don't know if you can do this while Hyperpin is running. Once you have the table running via the VP editor, follow these steps to see if you can increase the volume:
1. Click on the DMD window with the mouse
2. Press the tilde (~) key. This will bring up a white box inside the DMD window.
3. Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the options in the white box until you see YM2151 #0 Ch.1 in the white box.
4. Using the left and right arrow keys, adjust the channel volume. Using the left arrow key will lower the channel volume, the right arrow key will raise the channel volume.
5. Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the options in the white box until you see YM2151 #0 Ch.2 in the white box.
6. Repeat step 4 to adjust the channel volume
7. Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the options in the white box until you see MSM5295 #0 (voice 0) in the white box.
8. Repeat step 4 to adjust the volume of that channel
9. Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the options in the white box until you see MSM5295 #0 (voice 1) in the white box.
10. Repeat step 4 to adjust the volume of that channel
11. Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the options in the white box until you see MSM5295 #0 (voice 2) in the white box.
12. Repeat step 4 to adjust the volume of that channel
13. Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the options in the white box until you see MSM5295 #0 (voice 3) in the white box.
14. Repeat step 4 to adjust the volume of that channel
15. Press the tilde key (~) to close the white box
16. Click anywhere on the table to return focus to the table.
Hope this helps.
