I notice sometimes, the 2x light wont light and also sometimes after the game over the 100 thousandth digit in the 1st player score changes. I think somethings just loose maybe. He did say he just put new score displays in the backbox. The guy i bought it from says he owns 40 machines in his house, himself.

Congrats Freddie on your pin acquisition! Looks really clean and the backglass looks almost mint!

Hopefully he provided you with replacement bulbs, fuses, rubbers, etc. or the information where you can obtain those supplies when needed.

Enjoy!

I've done some minor fixes myself so far already. 2 bulbs were loose under the PF, the 2x and the 1000pt light in the bonus count. All working perfectly now smile.gif

I couldn't figure out why the game wasn't giving me matches and no knocker at the replay score levels either......the drop targets were set to reward an EB and a Special is why....I fixed that smile.gif

There is a small glitch that I am not sure what i need to do to fix but basically at the end of a game, the hun-thousand digit on the 1st player score changes at the end of game to either a 0 or an 8. Also if the 1st player is at anywhere below 100k and the 2nd player rolls over 100k, the 1st players score adds 100k. If 1st player is at 200k and 2nd player rolls over to 300k, 1st player will be at 300k too. I tried unplugging and plugging in the displays from the main control board many times but it wasn't anything loose.

Some minor bugs, kinda fun to tinker smile.gif

Hey, shoot this to GW. He may at lest be able to tell you if it is coming from the PCBs or the table. Does the scoring issue happen after the game has fully ended or is it possible something is being triggered in the final second before a true game-over state?

That is why I plan on having only 1 SS machine at a time. Once it gets issues with the MPU or Driver board, I can't do shit other than diagnose. I can fix just about anything on an EM.
If you got the manuals with it, run every test it has. See if anything weird happens. If you didn't get the manual, get one. You may be able to d/l it from ipdb.
PHYSICALLY CHECK EVERY SWITCH ON IT. Seriously. Sometimes there can be a switch stuck that will "confuse" the MPU and give you weird shit.
I will try to catch you in chat....

sabbat not a good idea to unplug and plug back in with the power on..you can mess stuff up on the driver board or cpu shutup1.gif sounds like you
might have a issue already with the driverboard.....heres a good tip get yourself a good meter to check to test parts out..it the only way to figuire out electronic issues..
catch me in chat im good on gottliebs know them boards inside and out.....JUST DONT GO POKIN AROUND and pullin plugs or plugin with the unit powered on
it real easy to fry out components on older boards...take my word for it i learned the hard way..till i learned the right way....... facepalm.gif

heres some good reading for you http://www.pinrepair...begin/index.htm
