Thanks for the feedback but if you encounter crashes it only helps us when you provide a crash dump of that crash ;)

If it is possible to have the option to make the left or right wire ramp visible / invisible (RampType2Wire), and if it is possible visualize the angle of the line passing through the control point.

Thanks

Did I understand it correctly: do you want a switch to hide one of the two wires? If so then why not use an invisible 2wire ramp and use another visible 1wire ramp? All these extra options need a place in the property pane and we run a bit out of space here, so I would like to add only options that aren't too special.

What do you mean with visualize the angle?

Hiding one of the two wire ramps is useful for making three-wire ramps, wire ramps with one side,

just copy and paste the main ramp, raise it, widen it, and hide the wire that is not It serves.
The side wire follows the shape of the main ramp without moving any control point,

doing this with a single wire takes a little more time, and that's what I use at the moment.
For space issue in the properties panel, you could add two more ramp types, RampType1WireLeft and RampType1WireRight.

I intend to visualize the angle that makes the line crossing the ramp control points, this to give the right rotation to the wire rings,
the gate or spinner is the tool I use to calculate the angle, so here too is an alternative way to do this.

Perhaps it is better to visualize the angle I highlighted in the drawing minus 90 degrees.

And another one from today, I have had VPX open for 2 hours, only using F3 to import a new image and play to look at the result, when I press F4 once, it crashes:

The used revision is 3198 and it's a bit old. If such crashes happen again with the latest revision please report it again. As for the other two crashes reported by JP these should be fixed with the next update.

@Kiwi: I'll check that. Adding these two wire ramps shouldn't be a problem but I don't know if it's easy to add the angle visualization.

EDIT: it seems that the crashes with rev3198 are the same reported by JP so it should be fixed now.

I notice a huge improvement in stability in the 10.4 series. Thank you Fuzzel and Toxie !

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Well there are some issues here and there left. Most crashes come from the hacky implementation of the property pane. If you select elements fast and switch back and forth you trigger some invalid access exceptions but they only happen if windows is busy with other stuff. That's why it not happen that often.

sound manager: I think the "toggle BG output" is broken atm. It adds *BG* to the import path and does not change the output.

Now, as a workaround one can go into position and check the output there.

What makes changing a lot of sound outputs a real PITA, is that after having changed, the list scrolls up to A again and you completely lose track, where you have been before. I tried today with Javier's Goldorak (tons of sounds) and gave up after the list started jumping.

Recent crash with rev3224.  Just one table open, had copied a light object and went to unlock it to move some points and it crashed on the Ctrl-Shift-L to unlock.

Tables using nFozzy's fastflips script aren't working with rev3230. No flipper activity at all.

Fixed? ;) I've got several errors on different tables I tried.... E.G. "Can't open vpmkeys.vbs" on all tables, "Unable to load sys80.vbs..." on Black Hole, "Unable to load S11.vbs..." on Scared Stiff.

Going back to the older scripts fixed this.

the old *BG* flag will be removed in the next update and output entry in the output column toggles. I think something went wrong when the new surround sound option was added to VPX

I reverted to the old VPMKeys.vbs, seems to fix this...

EDIT: The only difference between the old and the new script is added in line 112:

keyConfigurations = 12 '(-)    Taito
