I have tried several PM5 tables and they all seem to work fine.

Cool, thanks a lot! So we can release that one, too, then..

Don't see at as anything than an improvement, so  - yes, please :)

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Also try a few tables and find no errors. Also Batman works fine without editing.

Is there an improvement to the sound option 1 planned? At the moment the volume control does not fully work. Sound option 2 is better but more difficult (or impossible?) to implement into a frontend.

I saw that there were some updates to the pin sound board, maybe this would be good to implement into vpx, too?

Edit: Sorry, should be posted in the PinMAME section... ;)

Option 2 is the more advanced implementation and is the one to use. I use a custom AutoHotkey script within PinballX to run PinSound Studio and force minimize it.
OR
I believe you can launch it prior launching PinballX and have it residing in the background.

I know. But the PinSound guys prefer the solution they provide (e.g. option 2), the rest i more or less had to reverse engineer on my own, which was very time consuming.

Can you share the script?

I prefer your option 1 as option 2 is too complex in everyday use (without script or frontend) - so it would be nice to improve that option! :)

Well, PinSound Studio support is a very small part of what my launcher does, but it is in here:

https://www.gameex.i...&comment=168527

Aside from the other features, it launches PinSound Studio minimized prior to launching VP then terminates the process when you quit the table. As a default PinSound Studio starts maximized, so when you do launch the home screen will flash white. If that's a dealbreaker then you will have to use the altsound option 1 setting.

A possible alternative is to use PinSound Studio to make adjustments to the mix "offline". I've hardly played around with the software myself (documentation is kind of sparse), but the feature set does discuss being able to change the mix by channel and even by individual sound file. You could save it and then run it in your cab with the altsound option 1 setting. As far as I know, the option 1 setting does support the same rulesets for prioritizing channel playback, gain.txt, ducking.txt, etc..

Hey devs, I'm running into an age old dilemma,  I want a realistic ball falling (into scoops) animation but I don't want to raise the PF because I'd like to have PF reflections.  What I'd like to do is simply make a fully 3d scoop with collision and have the ball drop into it but it's not currently possible without having a raised PF.  Would it be possible to figure out some kind of work around for this?  I know we can script the Z value but it's not convincingly realistic.  Is it too much to ask for having below PF ball falling support?  Feel free to shoot me down if it's too difficult but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

(Fuzzel pulls the trigger) :D sorry but that's not that easy to add especially at the moment. We're going to release 10.3 in a couple of days and trying to add something like that would be a can of worms.

Yeah I figured as much, I understand the situation, but I hoped to plant the seed.  :)

Not sure if it was reported but just in case... Under revision 3089 if you try to change the Ball reflection or Trail Motion Blur options (Default/Off/On) under User Customizations it default to Off and you can't change it anymore.

There is some weird bug with dropboxes in the VP-UI, has been a while like this also for the AntiAliasing dropbox (select something then cannot change it anymore). But i do not have a clue why.  :/

True. This was removed in favor of the new Backdrop settings (DT/FS/FSS), so now one must use the non-FS variants (always) and (optionally) check the active mode via BackglassMode() to know which one one gets.

The commandreference was not updated though :/, i'll change that.

Hello, since JP's Lord of the rings is the second VP10.3 Table i use i wonder why the Backglas (B2S) is not shown on my second monitor. i than run austin powers and there also the Backglas does not show but i think it was when i run the table when it was released. Are the any parameters that i must set? i tried the search but found nothing.

How would one go about reading the inclination setting for the different settings now?

This is not possible at once. Only the currently active config can be retrieved, and you can check which one that is via BackglassMode().
