Mount them just inside your coindoor

can't it's a solid metal plate with nothing to attach them to.

I think he means to the cab, not the actual door. But just in the front near the coin door.

i spent hours trying to config them no matter what i did they always acted weirdly. i thought i'd finally get them perfect than i go to test a table and the ball will go into the complete opposite direction to where i nudged or the nudge would stop working or it will continuously nudge causing tilt!

heres what mine looks like resized to max cutout size as you can see it looks fugly and no where as clear as yours. 2nd image is to show the cutout size.

Those lines are because you've scaled the DMD to something that is not a multiple of the original size. It's interpolating pixels to give you the dimensions you're asking for, but it won't look crisp that way. If your DMD is, say, 259 x 67, then your next "crisp" size will be 518 x 134, then 777 x 201, etc. Anything between those numbers will result in the distortion you're seeing.

You can also try going down to 640 x 480 and playing around with resolution there, too.

Did you get your DMD looking any good yet Blade?

I noticed that the resolution affects the way it looks. On my desktop, i'm running 1280x1024 and my signature dmd looks weird. Yet if I go out to the laptop, it looks perfect running 1024x768.
The 259 x 67 looks right on the cab running 1080x1920.

Also, you dont need to completely fill it to the edge of your cutout. The real pins have an edge of about 10mm that isnt used to the side of the cutout.

Maybe, but it doesn't look like it has a lot of give. Plungers don't stop at an exact spot due to the spring - if you plunge lightly, it may not hit the button, and if you plunge hard, it might smash the button through the microswitch (or try to). You may be better off with some of the other ideas I've seen, which involve a flexible piece of metal over the microswitch's trigger that gets hit by the end of the plunger - that way, it can flex to accommodate whatever and still press the microswitch trigger without breaking things.

I don't know. That happend to me last night with the new Time Machine B2S release.
The first game played great. Then as "time went on", (pun intended), the ball stutter got worse and worse.
This is the first time I have noticed it happening like that.

Yeah, buying the glass locally is the way to go. The packaging time and shipping for something that large and fragile is brutal. I got tempered 5mm and tempered 3mm for my machine for about $120.00 total, and it was done in a day.

For the backglass, tempered isn't strictly critical, but for the playfield you want tempered for sure, because it's horizontal and people tend to put crap on pinball machines. If what they put on it happens to be a hand because they slipped or whatever, and that's when the glass breaks, someone is probably going to the hospital with lacerations that need stitching.

Yep, for a playfield tempered glass is a must. For protecting your screen when it breaks, but more for the safety of the one breaking it !

That, and you're pretty unlikely to break tempered glass, unless you hit it hard with something else hard. You could almost stand on it (but don't do that - if you fall through and murder your display, I'm not buying you a new one! *laughs*).

got the glass it's hard to see but it's in there! all i got left to do now is take the glass off and spray paint the sides and the top so you don't see the gaps in the tv and that's pretty much it i'll be done.

not bad for a newb huh? spiteful.gif
