Ah. I find the last report kind of exciting. I have for a long time been under the impression that loading table with or without at91jit enabled, just loading vp first, then using file->open will give yourself a much higher chance to getting tables to start with it enabled and also having freezy activated at the same time. Double clicking the table and you are more or less are guaranteed that it crashes. Loading it via the "fronend" method is kind of in between these. Turn off freezy and or at91jit and you will be fine. I hope you guys find "something" related to this.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Is this for all of you about the loading of the (empty) program or only when loading a table?

I have found even just opening VPX program by itself to sometimes take 30-60 seconds, although pretty rare.

That happens here only if I doubleclick on a table. Then often the programstart takes very long.

the auto- plunger is still not orientable and how to customize icons ?

gui in QT possible ?

normal this ball trails ?

When creating a new ball by clicking on the table the last vector of the last ball will be transfered to the new one! The micro mouse movement when clicking will also influence the ball. Try clicking 4-5 times quickly while holding the mouse static then release it. It should go down more straight. Make sure the mouse is not moving a single pixel!

Hi super Guys !! ;)

Could we have a way to script the Reflection Enable and the Static Rendering buttons ?

So we could create options for those with a weak computer and the others with a good one ;)

Instead of compromising ;)

Thanks for all !!!

For me, it's loading the application. Once the application is launched, I have no problem loading the tables.

Unfortunately, the only thing we know that there is some bug that is very dependent on the memory layout/allocation. So that's why different users need to use different 'tricks' to get at91 jit working, and also why some users don't at all.  :/

The idea is good, unfortunately when the script is running, then it's already 'too late', because then the pre-processing of the static objects already happened.

I don't know if this is doable and don't laugh but I find that when going into a table's sound manager (with 10.6) and bumping the volume on a specific sound from 0.0 to the max 1.0 the results are minimal. Quite often I find I have to use software like Audacity to amplify the sound and re-import. Is it possible to implement a change to the volume adjuster to make it more responsive?

Yes, the sound system is still a mess, even with 10.7. I revamped a lot of it, but it's still not finished (especially the new MP3 and OGG support) and i hope i can get to the bottom of all of that, as soon as there is a bit more continuous spare time again for me.  :/

Isn't that the purpose of the "Enable Playfield Refliections" option in the editor?

If you edited a table and close it the Editor doesn't save the table. There is no question to saving a table.

I have 2 versions of Cactus Jacks, 1 works and 1 doesn't.  Both work with 10.6

Cactus Jacks (Premier)(1991)(Rascal)(1.1)   Loads and plays fine in both 10.6 and 10.7 beta

Cactus Jacks (Gottlieb)(1991)(BorgDog, Bodydump, Dark, Bord)(0.95)    Crashes 10.7 but works in 10.6

Hmm strange...I got the crash the first time I loaded the table but the second try loading it works and now it works without a problem!?

Update: ok it seems to crash constantly with the release version. Something is fishy with one of the huge 8192x8192 images.

@DjRobX can you take a look. It looks like a bug from the loading times optimization changes.

With ESC or Quit you can't get the menu with back to the editor. The editor quit complete.

Would it be possible to make the single wire ramp rotate on x, y, and z axis? In this manor we could form rings, and half rings or even vuk loops in a laying down position and then rotate them like 90 degrees to stand them up. Or is there a way to make these things already without going into blender?

You can do this..well kind of. Take a one wire ramp and add control points to it. You can define a height to a control point to bend the wire. It's tricky though but it's possible. Take a look at the example table how to place the control points.

With ESC or Quit you can't get the menu with back to the editor. The editor quit complete.

Do you use exclusive fullscreen mode? In that mode you won't see a dialog.
