I've just checked. T2 works perfectly and it's the same for the other tables. You have made my day ![]()
Now, I have to dig a bit into this to understand what exactly I have changed ![]()
Thanks a lot!

Just found a problem with ACDC original table. I'm currently displaying the score (with speaker bar) on the backglass for this B2S table.
I'm doing this temporarly until I receive my Vishay DMD (same thing for T2)
With the setting you've provided, the score and speaker bar completely disappear.
It won't be any issue since I'll later configure it for a 3 screen cab, but thought I should report it.

strange. I just replaced my 3rd screen with a Vishay DMD and thanks to this setting I have scores again (the Backglass screen shows grill, loudspeaker and emulated DMD). Maybe you used the wrong check box, wrong setting?

This keeps getting better and better. The EM reels on Baseball are absolutely gorgeous! The issue I'd reported before with Taxi (not being able to show the VPM DMD) is also now solved. I can use either the B2S DMD or VPM DMD without issues.
@Herweh: Here's another suggestion for a future improvement. Is there any way that the B2S DMD size can be set on a per table basis instead of just relying on a single setting pulled from screenres.txt? For example, the dimensions I have currently set work really well for some B2S tables like Taxi, BK2000 and Tomcat but for the ACDC table that you posted here not so much because the proportions are different. This one ends up being stretched vertically.

Unfortunately some .directB2S backglasses crashes my VP914. Never experienced a crash before .directB2S. Program quits with an error message. Haven't tried all beta files but Taxi and Elvira crah. T2 and Sorcerer are working without any problems. Any idea why this is happening? Using Win7 x64 here, 4 GB RAM, 2GB GTX 660.

Edit the registry for the rom files that are crashing and make sure ddraw and direct3d are both set to 0.

Thank you for the info! I'll try that soon.
Is this mandatory for .directB2S backglasses? Does this mean I have to change each and every registry entry for .directB2S backglasses?

There's a bug that only rears it's ugly head in Win x64 that Herweh and I are trying to track down.
This registry change will solve it until we can work out what's causing it.
Dozer.
That would be very nice because switching off ddraw results in a much narrower DMD (about 1/3 narrower). And it seems not to be possible to resize it to the wider format. Or ist there an option for that?

I just noticed that the "Elvira And The Partymonsters" table has severe performance problems when using the .directB2S backglass. Without it the ball is moving fluid, with the new backglass switched on sometimes the ball is moving jerky, especially when going down from the spiral ramp.
Is this a known problem? I do not think that my PC is too slow to handle this (i5 2500k, 3,3 GHz, 2 GB GTX660, 4GB RAM, Win7 x64).
I tried about 4 or 5 other new backglasses and never experienced such slowdowns.

Are you launching this table directly or via hyperpin?

Is the backglass screen running on 32-bit color depth? Have you tried the 'Start backglass in server EXE' mode? And have you done some tweaking with the 'Skip ... frames' options? Don't forget to save your settings.

The new 'Start backglass in server EXE' option is great. I didn't have stuttering problem on most tables, but if there was any slight stutter, this always got rid of it for me.
I was wondering: what does this really do and what is the disadvantage (if any) of using this versus the regular directB2S backglass?

And maybe check 'Use simple LEDs'.

The backglass is 32bit.
I tried "start backglass in serve exe" mode and saved it - but now the backglass can not be found anymore. How can I reactivate it again? Do I have to do anything else but click on "start backglass in server exe" mode? I did not find a "close" button or such. I just quit the table.

This is technically pretty near to 'Rosve style' backglasses. The 'B2S.Server' is just writing all the incoming data into the registry. The backglass is running in an own EXE and is polling for this data. I know, registry is not very elegant but Roger's backglasses are working this way and are running very smooth.
Disadvantage: A time lag between incoming data and visibility on the backglass.
Advantage: First of all performance. And maybe the ability to tweak this process in the OS as the EXE is running in an own process.
