I've noticed that on VPX 10.7.1 rev. 207, 203 and 196 and 187 (that 4 I've tested) it happens that when closing the VPX it is still there in task manager, can't switch to it and can't re-run it until I kill it's process.

Last working fine was revision 133.

Especially problematic in connection to Pinup Popper - can't load another table after one was closed.

Any1 ?

I don't know about the other versions but with this version I have the same issue

10.7.1 rev. 207

Can anyone answer if the background colour in VPVR 10.7 can be set to black from the current grey?

eg if you create a blank table in VPVR 10.6, the background void of elements is simply black.

In 10.7, it is now grey.

Now I know I can fudge it and create a huge sphere element around the playfield and have it black. It would be good if I don't need to add another element on the table if I can avoid it.

Cheers,

Is that only in the recent build 10.7.1? Or also already in the last official VPVR 10.7.0 build?

Going to bump this for my edit.

Do not think that is intended as, aside from having to poke away 8 error boxes
i can go from table to table with no issues

I saw that you already added this to the corresponding github issue, too, thanks!

This may(!) be fixed with this build (and should not be related to the NVAPI issue Wiesshund is seeing), please test and report back here, thanks!

Hi mate. I just tested a table to see the background "void" (absence of elements) and it was black in VPVR 10.7.0. So seems to have crept in since.

If grey is the new normal, no dramas. It can be worked around. Just was keen to know if it was a bug, something that is changeable via a setting or if it is the new normal.

Thanks for looking into this

The latest release 215 is still giving the NVAPI errors, I've reverted to 203 until resolved.

Yes, the NVAPI errors are still there for now :/ , my comment above only addressed what lukpcn was seeing (hopefully, needs his testing).

Can we get a look at why those are popping up and simply suppress them or something?
You cannot test through a front end fullscreen because you can't get to the darned pops to exit the table

Nice!

You got rid of the errors, and you cut the table loading time in half

I'm getting issues on 196 and 217 where vpx just does not launch a portion of the time. The executable shows in task manager but if launched normally the UI never shows up or if launched from command line the table never shows up. Seems to happen about 1 of ever 4 launches.

EDIT: Both 32 bit versions. The executable does not close on its own either. I have to kill it from task manager.

v217 (or possibly v215) has fixed my issue where I could not close out of one table and start another without having to shutdown VPX entirely. Thanks a lot , I had this issue since the very first 10.7 build :)

I was playing around with the newest version posted 217 32bit and i can also reproduce the issue where you run tables and every 3 or 4 tables doesn't launch but the visual pinball process starts and shows in task manager. The only way to close is to kill it. When you try to run another table after this, sometimes it will load another process and run the table fine, other times it will load another process that doesn't run again and you'll then have 2 stuck vp 7 processes. It seems that when you have 1 stuck process that didn't start, it's a lot less likely to throw up another stuck process. You can start and stop tables and they're less likely to not launch when one has already stuck.

I didn't fresh install though, it was installed over the top of my already setup system.

Hi, sorry for the silly question, I'm kind of out of date and lost. So where do I download this 10.7.1 version?

Thanks.

Really?  I've never made a GH account and I can download the betas without an issue.
