FYI, I have tried both of these new B2S backglasses, they work great.  The baseball is a great showpiece for your new scoring reel displays, they look fantastic.

Question:  If I recall, I could tell via the screenres.txt file if I had a 3 screen setup so that the backglass ends up cutting off the speaker grill area (I've not used it yet but although I don't have a 3 screen setup, I have a real DMD, so I think this option can be used for this?).  Anyway, how does the B2S server act for backglasses that are not rom based and therefore I don't want the grill to be cut off, such as the AC/DC table.

Or... maybe I got this part of the B2S support all wrong :)  Thanks for looking into this, beginner with this option.

Hi guys,

am I right, you have a 3-screen-setup so you have set you 'screenres.txt' to hide the grill normally? But with ACDC (or similar tables) you want to show up the grill at monitor 2 with the DMD inside it?

No problem, get into the backglass settings of ACDC and look at the three check boxes at the top of the screen. The 'Hide gill' and 'Hide DMD' check boxes are 'threestate' check boxes. This means these check boxes can show three check states: A dark check, a gray check and unchecked. Click on 'Hide grill' till the box is unchecked. Then save your settings and restart the table.

Best regards, Herweh.

Hi,

This is FANTASTIC! Thanks. Out of curiosity, why 3 state for the check marks? I would have thought two state, for yes and no. Also what is the difference between dmd and grill? Do they not cut off the backglass at the same level?

Looks like you are thinking of everything, well done!

i was asking the same question in the wooly b2s topic, that's great, can't wait for that one and scarface lol

the best would be that the pindmd emulates it directly on the real dmd, this works for FP now, but that is another issue :)

Thanks, loafer and no, I'm not thinking of everything, I killed the empty LED images with designer beta version 0.8 and some of the beta backglasses are looking very funny right now :D .

The third state (the grayed check mark) shows that the setting isn't changed in the backglass and the default is used. Default is at the 'grill' your screenres.txt file setting and at the 'DMD' the VP table script with the .Hidden property.

The grill check box cuts off (or not) the grill at the backglass image. This is the main feature to handle 2 screen and 3 screen setups with one backglass file.

The DMD check box shows or hides the VPinMAME DMD. No need to get into the VP script and look for the 'Hidden' property.

And the check box in the middle shows or hides the special 'B2S DMD', used at Taxi or ACDC. I.E. when you're using a real DMD and don't like it then hide it.

Because of the way FP-intercept captures the dmd display via a separate rendered (OpenGL), I would think that technique is not possible. However, that is not to say something like that could not be added via the source code in the future.

The DMD check box shows or hides the VPinMAME DMD. No need to get into the VP script and look for the 'Hidden' property.

Well, that is pretty freaking huge and in one swoop you just saved a lot of future bandwidth by removing the need for all those "how do I remove the vpinmame dmd" threads/comments that keep popping up regularly. Well done!!!

hi,

can you give me a way...

try to use these wonderful T2 Backglass, but i have a green line :bye2:

I use a Full HD resolution on the second screen.

I put the green area on purpose. It's to show you that your ScreenRes.txt is not set like it should be.

It should start with something like this:

1920
1080
1920
1080 or 1200 --> Depending on your monitor resolution
3

...

Of course, if you use 1920 x 1200 (16/10), you have to download the matching file.

Hi Tipoto,

I have the same problem as Manbo, and the only way for me to get rid of the green line is to edit my ScreenRes.txt file and use 1920x1200 for the 2nd screen (even if my screen is recognized as a 16/9 (1920x1080)).

The problem with doing this, is that it's affecting all my other B2S tables, putting the score at the wrong place or even worse :(

Is there an easy way for me to fix it, and get rid of the line without affecting the other B2S?

Thanks a lot

I am having trouble exiting the new directs2s tables i am getting this error when exiting from VP or hyperpin   (vpinball 9.1.4 has stopped working, close the program)

I copied the B2SBackglassServerRegisterApp, B2SBackglassServerEXE, B2SBackglassServer.dll from the zip with baseball and acdc tables to the tables folder and registered the dll fine. I have tried elvira, elvis, gorgar, t2 chrome and the addams family, Elvira and gorgar don't give the error but the other three do.

I have skipped through this whole thread hoping to find a solution. They all start and play without a problem it is just the exiting.

I had the exiting trouble before with windows 7 x64.  When I reinstalled WIndows XP the problem went away.  I'm back to windows 7 x64 now and no more exiting trouble.  Sorry for no fix, just  that I ran into that also.  I tried installing visual studio, to no avail.  Very strange.

No problem, get into the backglass settings of ACDC and look at the three check boxes at the top of the screen. Best regards, Herweh.

How to get into the backglass settings?

Best regards, Ton

scroll mouse to backglass screen and click on it to select, then hit S on keyboard and it should open.

Did you download the 16/9 (1920 x 1080) version?

I just did the upgrade and everything works awesome! No green lines, no stutters, nothing but awesomeness. Thanks! Can't wait for the flood of B2Ss to come out.

Could you try this with your Screenres.txt file:

1920
1080
1920
1080
3
0
0
0
0
100
0

Hopefully it won't affect the other tables.

If it doesn'h work, also you can try this:

1920
1080
1440
1080
3
0
0
500
100
100
100
