You've all been very helpful. Rather than starting a new thread, I'd like to post it here. I'd like to get a feel of how a dual screen experience feels and I'd like to know if I can get it to work. So here's what I think I need to set it up (using T2 Chrome edition as default game here):
Hyperpin.exe (I understand there's a help file provided that includes some specific instructions like setting up the dual screen etc...)
Visual Pinball
VPinMame
Two screens (Sony Vaio Laptop playing field + Sony LCD 40 inch backglass) ===> Neither are Full HD, but I trust this is not an issue.
HDMI cable
Roms for T2 (to be stored in roms folder of VpinMame)
The .vpt table for T2 Chrome Edition (Currently stored in tables folder of visual pinball, but I assume it must be transferred to Hyperpin/Media/Visual/Table Images?)
As of right now, I'm fully able to play and enjoy T2 Chrome edition on my Sony Vaio notebook (tilted 45 degrees so that the entire screen rests on the surface) so as far as that's concerned I've got at least all the necessary software to play that on a single screen.
Uh, is that about it? I mean in terms of what I require in order to set up a dual screen equivalent of visual pinball? One thing I don't quite understand is that there's a "backglass images" folder under hyperpin. But where would I get only the backglass image? The table tipoto provided was just the playing field at 1920 x 1080. Does the backglass come automatically with Hyperpin?
Apologies if this should have gone in another thread. And thanks!
EDIT: I will simply play via gamepad.

Hi!
I only can go on 1360 x 768, so the table doesn't show properly. Is there any "trick" or "fast and easy" modification in order to solve the gaps between reels shown at this resolution? I presume "no", since there are lots of reels, but I must ask, since I'd love to play this table on my cabinet...
Thanks!

No, is the correct answer.
T2 Chrome was made with 1080P in mind.
All other resolutions will have certain problems.

I don't know why it wasn't done with lights on the table instead of emreels on some of the images. Would've been better this way. Oh well.

This is a FS (Full Screen) table and you have to turn your monitor to play it.
Most of the tables allow you to change the camera point of view and the rotation, but not this one, due to the fact that the render is pre-calculated.

I cannot get rid of stutter in this wonderful table, I tried changing video options & the performance parameters in the beginning of the script but it's still there.
FPS are about 500-800, whereas they're around 3500-4000 in most tables and even 2500-3000 on Monopoly.
It's the only table I get problem with (and it's also one of the more beautiful), what's so different in this one that could explain this ?

On this table there are a lot of animations running at the same time and I put some alpha ramps as well, it's why you get some stuttering sometimes (depending on your CPU, GPU and drivers options).
Usually, when you disable the HKS and the flashers in the script, it improves noticeably the performances.
It's weird you have issues with this table since you don't have any with all the other tables. I guess you have good specs on your PC.
You may try to tweak some parameters in your graphic drivers (like aliasing etc...), sometimes you don't see any differences visually in VP or FP, but it decreases the performance.
On my PC I have some stutters too, but almost nothing. It happens only when I get a bonus during multiball, with a big light sequence and a big animation running on the DMD. My specs: Intel Q6600 (OC 3.2 ghz) / GTX460 / 8GB ram / Win 7 64 bit.
Just in case you did... Don't activate the shadows render in the editor, it has no effect on the graphics, but it affects the performances.

Disabling flashers & hks don't change anything for me, FPS keep under 800 with same stuttering than when enabled. How high are your FPS to have no stutter ?
Pc is pretty fast : i2500k + GTX 460
Now that I've tried everything in video options, what could I try to change in the GPU parameters (where is aliasing, in french nvidia control panel) ?
Or something else I could disable in the script ?

@ Tipoto: You are truly my favorite FS designer and I really hope you gonna do ALL the pins available in this kind of quality!! Simply amazing! I was also wondering if you could do somekind of showcase/tutorial about how you made this table if you could find the time!

Thanks Nick War!
For DeltaHorse: There is an option at the head of the script to rotate the DMD.
For DeltaHorse: There is an option at the head of the script to rotate the DMD.
Indeed there is. And the orientation is correct. That said, the resolution of the DMD is incorrect now. The entire DMD is squished together, bearably readable. So here's my thinking. Can I get the DMD centralized in the top of the screen with correct dimensions? Here's a pic of how it looks (but pretend it's upright because I've tilted my notebook):

You can see the DMD isn't quite correct. You also see the top and bottom of my screen is black because I went with resolution 1440 x 900 and my notebook's max res is 1680 x 945. So would there be a way to get the DMD to take up the entire, or nearly, the entire position of the top black bar?
Sorry for the neediness!
Right click on the dmd and select "show border". Grab the frame of the boreder and stretch the dmd to whatever size suits you. Left click on the dmd to lock in the setting and then right click and uncheck "show border"
Don't pm or expect an answer from me here ... the links above are my contacts.
I know so much about so little that I could teach you all there is to know about nothing......

If I remember you just have to do CTRL + Left click or CTRL + Righ click in order to zoom in / zoom out.
The table is on the right side for technical reasons (ball reflection).

I wrote a document gathering a lot of tips and information to help creating table with EM reels, I didn't post it yet because my English is not good enough to have something clean... I wanted to do a pass on it, but since I don't have time now, I will upload it tonight anyway, and I'm sure someone on the forums will be able to correct the ugly mistakes I did

This table made such an impression on me, that I have since bought a Fish tales, Road Show, Revenge From mars, Flash, and T2. I only had my virtual Cabinet before I saw this masterpiece. Thanks Tipoto. I have no more space so I'm can only upgrade machines or buy another home
Looking forward to seeing your tips/guide.

Here is a link to download a file called "Tipoto's_Method.zip":
http://dl.free.fr/mu...to's_Method.zip
The zip file contains:
- Advises_&_Explanations.doc
- Position_&_Size.xls
- T2_EMReel_Flippers_Test2.vpt
- Table_Slice.psd
- Test_Reflections_Tipoto.vpt
Like I said before, it's just a draft, I didn't have time to clean it up and it's probably plenty of English mistakes.
Don't expect to understand everything immediately, I think this document is helpful only if you are really making a table using EM reels in the same time, otherwise you will probably understand only 50% of what I am explaining.

About your "method" Tipoto, thx a lot for sharing your knowledgs. If you have some french docs I'd be interested also.

Sorry, I forgot to reply your message.
antialiasing = anticrénelage
The FPS on VP is not really accurate. When you have 800 fps, it's not the real speed, otherwise you wouldn't have any stuttering during the game with a FPS that high.
When I play the table I got between 275 and 350 FPS, which is twice lower than you, however it plays smooth, except when a lot of graphics are animated at the same time.
I would say, my real frame rate is probably about 25/30 fps. Others tables run much smoother than that, but I still consider 25 fps as real time.
I don't know what you could change in your graphics settings, since you already tried to tweak everything! It's weird.
In the script, everything is in the section called “Improving performance”.
Maybe you can try to reduce the DMD size, I know it's not cool to do that when you have a cab, but it's just a test. I know that it can affect the fps a little bit.
Also make sure your screen resolution is set to 1920 / 1080 (32bit) in the NVIDIA control panel.
For the documentation about my method, I have the French version of what I uploaded in my last post, but I have to check the spelling and grammar ehehe, because it was just a draft for the English version which is also a draft ^^...
If I have time tomorrow, I will prepare this for you (if you really need it ?)
