whats the 'wipe to register touch issue' about?

That you need to touch the screen and then move your finger (aka 'swipe') for it to register for the flippers as opposed to just tapping the screen

Touch flippers are working!  They are setup for desktop tables only, however (because FS tables are rotated, without windows being rotated, the L/R division changes)

Another issue is that for an input to register i have to swipe the screen (just touching is not enough). This is probably a machine specific issue, because the same thing happens for gestureworks gameplay.  It could be due to the implementation.  The opensource PSP emulator PPSSPP which runs fullscreen also has this issue, but only during gameplay. In the settings screen (which is also fullscreen, at the same resolution as the gameplay), touch input registers normally.   Again, this seems specific to  my machine. Everything should probably work normally for Surface pro users.

Exactly,  and as i said in my previous post, this only happens for some legacy (non-metro) applications, weirdest thing is the opensource PSP emulator PPSSPP which has this issue during gameplay, but not in the settings screen (The whole program uses the same full-screen resolution, so there is no resolution switching or something like that causing it).  Most likely they have a different implementation for both uses, because on the settings screen i get the visual feedback (which is handled by the OS i think), and during gameplay there is an overlay, but no visual feedback upon touch.

Still the same for me, either requires a swipe or a double tap...

And about another thing I always wished... is it possible to export the blueprint in a higher resolution?

Just now it exports the blueprint scales to a height of 1024, and it is always too low quality to do anything useful with it (like to create transparent borders for the plastics).

That's the one I had my eye on.
It's only 999 right now.
It's got 3k resolution 13 inch screen I think.

with rev866 the blueprints will be created with a width/height of 4096 depending of the table dimension.

@fuzzel

I haven't tested yet b/c I'm at work but was wondering if we can still export a blueprint for a specific layer and only see in the blueprint that particular layer. It's a really nice feature and helps out a lot.

any news from somebody regarding the new experimental touch controls?

I just gave 865 a quick whirl:    major change indeed:   we now get visual feedback, and we no longer have to swipe.  At first glance everything seemed great, but after a few seconds i noticed a problem:  if I tap left, then quickly right, the left flipper flips again and vice versa. Or sometimes when flipping a fast left/right, it will not recognize the second touch.  Maybe this touch implementation is too slow/ OS gets in the way or something.  This may be the reason ppsspp changes implementation from settings to gameplay.    I am curious if its the same for koadic' fast tablet.

thanks for experimenting!

Edit: not that i understand much of coding, but what exactly did you change?

You may want to indicate a budget, because some fast windows tablets are crazy expensive.   It als depends on what size you want, and convertible or not. The asus t100 convertible seems like a great deal, but has the same VP performance as my Toshiba encore, so probably not enough for you/your tables.
