if yer good with photobie or something like that you can always cut them out and paste more of the surrounding background into the shot too. just a thought...

At the very end of the project I am doing for my aunt so I can get back to recording audio. Am changing plans concerning one aspect of my table. On the underground playfield concerning the agents, instead of having missions, am thinking about implementing special events that occur when an agent's light is lit that enhances scoring or gives a bonus. That way I can cut down the audio I have to record and get the table released sooner, not to mention to enhance gameplay. biggrin.gif

If you use wavepad you can save files in 16 bit mono to further cut down the file sizes. The only thing I usually save in stereo is a continual background song if that pin has one. just cause it sounds nice, again depends on how tiny i can cut it down to!

When the table loads up, it will play the theme song. But when you start play it will play a soft drum number in the background as to not overshadow the voice clips.

Back to the recording of the series' audio. Had been fighting with my new capture card (Hauppauge HVR-1600) for the past week, and trying to find software that will help in converting vhs-dvd the way that the software I had been using with my old card (Hauppauge PVR-150) did. On top of that, Win 7 doesn't like my USB cassette and record players, so I am using a friends computer he has "leased" to me. Since I resolved my situation, I am back to creating my tables, and have no projects for customers taking up my time. biggrin.gif

nice looking table, i remember trying to make my first table............................it sucked and never got completed but thats another story

love everything about this table Worship.gif tup.gif
have a few suggestions

why not get audio from episodes with Colonel Crittinton or major bonachelli

or ever Carter as hilter

hearing carter saying "but now the goose will hang high BY HIS HEELS!!!!!!" As hitler would be hilarious rofl.gif

The audio will be from the main characters in the show plus a little from some of the underground agents. Would love in add some of that audio, but without video to go with it, some people may be lost as to who said what. biggrin.gif

lol - I'm interested to play this table because I've watched your WIP thread all the way through, but before you started it I'd never even heard of Hogan's Heroes...when you first posted up the thread I thought it was going to refer to some Hulk Hogan tv show I'd also never seen or heard of smile.gif

So I'll be lost as to who says what no matter what audio you use!

Regards,
Dan.

to associate a voice with a person you can always have a static image pop up (wall) when a voice is played (just a thought) or have their light lite up or something like that. man, i can't wait for this pin. I loved the Hogan Heroes series and while not a fan of Richard Dawson at least heis a new actor here and hadn't perfected his trademark (holier than thou) attitude yet! And this is of course starring the (in)famous Bob Crane who made headlines with his sensational sex-fueled demise! Watch the movie 'fast Forward' for more info on this troubled man who saw things differently than the rest of society, but he still was a good actor despite his odd private life!
ok that may have been too much info...but it still was a kick-butt tv series!! highly implausible but most tv shows are anyways, but funny to say the least! and I still have fond memories (or is it mammaries?) of the German ladies (Helga?) with their zeppelin brassierres! That fueled many a happy dream in my teen years! ah yes fond(dled) mammaries... laugh.gif

Slowly but surely finishing the table up. Got a few things I gotta change then start on some of the simple coding and then make the attempt on the coding on the missions.

Here's an updated screenshot of my table. Finally put in the underground playlfield image that I wanted but also had to move the underground agents' picas to the upper left part of the back wall. Had to do away with the names of the agents as they would have been too small to see well. Getting ready to start planning what missions will be implemented for the game, then figure out how to code them into the table as well as the corresponding events that are triggered by the start of each mission.

As soon as I get my motherboard back from Asus and rebuild my computer, I will be getting started with the coding. There will be some coding that I don't know how to do but will get to that problem afterwards.biggrin.gif

My trees are open source for anyone that wants to use them. Glad I was able to contribute a little to the pinball community! biggrin.gif

about those trees... is there any easy way to make them NOT have white tips?

Not really. You have to change each branch's side color individually. biggrin.gif
