I give up and go to the beers now !

For me the weeks started with a tables that I knew I didn't like much but had downloaded and enjoyed a gtx mod of. And that mod got chosen for this weeks comp. The community is large. Some have older computers and can't run vpx. That is kind of sad - but, also - very nice because that way we can get rid of the impossible aussie :) Nah - just kidding :)

I'm sure we all agree the more the merrier and I'm quite sure that are more "trying" to get the record than we see reported. I don't think you should hold back. If you try to beat the score - just post it, let the other know that you are trying even though you you ain't near the tops scores. Just knowing that there are other trying makes it more exciting and if you participate in the competition it is easier going from the "read and download and enjoy for yourself" status to "hey, this is me and I love pinball too".

Going for the first post to the second is much easier. So c'mon :-)

Competition involves that you want to beat the other guy. You start to get the urge do ... kick someone ass. Hopefully in a peaceful way. My brain is and has always been, I want to win. But, I accept defeat without loving it ... so, there, its been said :-)

One other great benefit from this thread for me at least is that I need to play a table more than once. To beat the others I need to try to learn the table, what is the best way to get a high score. This again has often ended up with a new appreciation for the tables and their rules and not to mention the tweaks and fixed that has been posted.

I once again want to thank stat and gtxjoe for small but essential tweaks to this table - making it very nice instead of just ok. The table became harder, but, more enjoyable - could not manage to get past 25 mill today.

Nice post Thalamus! You have inspired me to post my measly 10mil score this week. I have been competing in these since they began, what a couple of months ago? I've Just not had the scores good enough to post. But from here on out I will. I like the challenge. Because of this my daughter has now gotten into the Game of the Week challenge this week. She has been playing the crap out of this table and is looking forward to the weeks to come.

My highest this week is 10,295,840 and My daughters best is 9,207,890.

I think it's great that this is a no pressure / fun challenge and now more of a testing ground for improvements.

Having not played for quite a while it's fun to have a reason to play again and play tables like SWT that previous I play for couple games then never again.
With a few tweaks to make shots from flippers more real, I can now enjoy it more.

I love the feel of VpX but still can only play Smurfs.

Tried a few of the new SS tables but still no go. I had a heap d/l already.
Can't wait to be able to play them.
Cab ran for 2 hours the other day so played it before it froze. It could easy handle X once I find why it locks up or doesn't boot.

Bring on the next table and

Play ball.

Joey2001 score of 44, 081,220 appears to be the score to beat.

About 6 hours to go for those of you in Alaska ;)

13,424,290 using Stat's mods

For the stuck ball when going to the cannon, search for Sub Magnet_Hit() and replace it with these values

Sub Magnet_Hit()
    ActiveBall.X = 182
	ActiveBall.Y = 175
	ActiveBall.Z = 120
	ActiveBall.VelX = -5
	ActiveBall.VelY = 5
End Sub

Dont work for me :hmm:
I use YOUR Table and MY Changes ...

I totally agree with Thalamus, what a good way to get to know and understand tables which I would normally only play once or twice.

Personally I have been using this thread to better my own previous best, even beating last nights score by half a million or so is great fun. Sure I would like to come top but some of you guys are so good.

Thank you all for turning a really playable table into an absolute classic. I cant wait to see what the next one will be.

My pers. Goals are to find Tables here (and have Fun with that), which have some Errors, or we can Phys make a bit better - quick: to get nice Tables !

Scores are secondary for me, except its one of my Favorites ... ;)

It's nice to be in a competition with other pinball lovers. And I learn to play pinballs better, I've only sometimes play this "Star Wars".

I play him once for testing and don't enjoy him very much. But after this week, it's a fun to play him.

And that's the point: It must be always fun to play. There's no need to cheat a game. If someone do so, he can do it, if he think, it's the right way.

I like the interesting changes of the settings. So maybe we can make some pinballs better.

OK, which table for the next week?

We take "Bad Cats", a table I also play only a few times and I'd like to get to know him better.

So go for the download: http://www.vpforums....&showfile=12401 (Version 1.2)

I hope DedRok_V can get into with his new VPX-Version.

Have a great week and much fun.

I don't know the rules so this is a great opportunity to understand this table!

Sorry guys but this table makes me nervous.

The constant cat meow and dog barks. I hate it. :stunned:

All the other here have a great contest on this table.

Good luck

LOL bolt ... put in a headset and leave that off you head, or turn the sound off completely :-)

This score will definitely not hold - it is simply to easy to make those loops. What I found out is ... shoot the center ramp 4 times in rapid succession and you get a extra ball.

Then hit the left loop several times in a row. Rince and repeat. I don't know if there are much more to this table.

Nice scores by everyone, I know i have not been posting scores as I don't have a lot of time to play, and my scores are nowhere near others, but it's a good measuring stick.  However I personally have been following along as the more tables are played, the more issues can be found and addressed.  Thanks for everyone's work/fun, now play on  :otvclap:

C'mon - post your scores. Look at jbg4208. I bet has had fun competing with his daughter. But, there is another benefit. If you see scores that are around your best. I believe it is easier to set yourself the goal of beating them at least.

First turn in on scores and I am not even close to Thalamus. but anyway it is fun. Mine is on the left and my daughters is on the right. I have played this table very well at some point because I have the number 1 score of 23 million on the score board, but don't know when that was. Maybe when the table first came out. Anyway here is our best scores so far this week.

Been following this thread for since the beginning but haven't had time to really play any of the tables.  I had a little time this morning and was able to score 34M.  Still well behind Thalamus.

It was good to spend some time on the table.  Unclewilly did a great job!

Looks as though this one shoots better than the old versions.

Keep shooting ramp to get 1M over and over with the occasional random 20M shot.

Also shoot the vari target up to max, light trash bin and 10x trash from right inlane. 5M max.
Rinse and repeat.
