It's already almost impossible to get a decent score just looking the ball on the playfield

 

I can't imagine playing this table and watching PUP screens in the same time :)

Wiesshund, what is this highscore #238 ? :shok:

 

No, it's when i was testing the DMD scenes etc, before the table was released, and i was using ball control to trigger the different modes

and then i got interrupted by work and i just left the table sit and when i came back and looked later, it was still playing itself.

 

Apparently if you have ball control on, and multiball in progress and the mouse cursor is left on the screen

the balls will alternate back and forth, playing the table on their own, one will bounce off, go hitting stuff and then eventually come back to hit the motionless ball, which will then shoot off and go about hitting stuff for a bit and then come back to hit the 1st ball, and it just keeps going and going like that.

 

So i though well that's amusing, i will never get that kind of score ever, and also it showed up the DMD very well, so i screenshot it
I never even get half than many digits in my scores

Hi,

 

I have a hard time getting DOF to work with this awesome table. I downloaded a new Config from the DOF website but my contactors still won't work. So I only get tiny feedback from my 4 SSF actuators :(

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

What I thought lately: A Bonus Multiplier x 1 (!) is not really a multiplier, LOL ;-)  nevertheless still one of the best tables out there!

Line 869 change "SetBonusMultiplier 1" to "2"

because lighting up all top lanes for the first time gives you a BonusMultiplier by 1x, which in fact is not a reward at all ;-)

What I thought lately: A Bonus Multiplier x 1 (!) is not really a multiplier, LOL ;-)  nevertheless still one of the best tables out there!

Line 869 change "SetBonusMultiplier 1" to "2"

because lighting up all top lanes for the first time gives you a BonusMultiplier by 1x, which in fact is not a reward at all ;-)

 

 

It is a reward in that you have now made the multiplier active, and until you do that, no bonus at all can happen.

 

It is not an unusual table rule, some ROM based tables have the same rule

JP, taking into consideration the latest PupPack for Your great table, would You do in the future version that will use Pup Puck overlay for scoring information instead of the flex dmd so it will match the stern style more and would look a ton better (readability) ? The scoring like in the Batman 66 table for example.

 

As wiesshund wrote, I don't use PUPpacks as I use a single screen, and a simple scoring is more than enough for me. And another group of people have plans to make a Deadpool version closer to the Stern table, with a puppack :) I just wanted to make my own version, with my layout changes and rules :)

 

And it is great indeed!

Don't do that! :) Line 869 is right. The multiplier must be set back to 1 during a new ball/player.

 

The top lanes will increase the bonus multiplier by one each time they are lighten up. This is done in the routine CheckBonusX at line 3529. What I did wrong in the script was to write the DMD line first and increase the multiplier after that, as you can see at the lines 3530 and 3531, they should be exchanged, first increase the multiplier and then show it in the DMD :) But the scoring is ok and the bonus multiplier is ok too :)

 

I'll exchange those lines if I make a new revision, but for now I won't do that, since the scoring is ok, but if I find more errors, then I'll make a new revision :)

Thank you for explanation, makes sense now to me! (I remember I had a similar case, I forgot that 'randomize' function at the top of the script does not affect the sequence inside a sub ;-)

Wow JP, great work on Deadpool! I'm having a blast and am glad it's brutal like the real table :)!

During gameplay I noticed the playfield multipliers do not light up when you increase the multiplier. In the code I found lines 1404-1409 inactive.

 

    'Case 1:light54.State = 0:light55.State = 0:light56.State = 0:light57.State = 0
    'Case 2:light54.State = 1:light55.State = 0:light56.State = 0:light57.State = 0
    'Case 3:light54.State = 0:light55.State = 1:light56.State = 0:light57.State = 0

    'Case 5:light54.State = 0:light55.State = 0:light56.State = 0:light57.State = 1

 

I replaced them with

        Case 1:li002.State = 0:li003.State = 0:li004.State = 0:li005.State = 0
        Case 2:li002.State = 1:li003.State = 0:li004.State = 0:li005.State = 0
        Case 3:li002.State = 1:li003.State = 1:li004.State = 0:li005.State = 0

There are no lights for the Bonus multiplier. The lights on the playfield are for the playfield multiplier, and they light up when you get a playfield multiplier :) Read the manual to check how to get a playfield multiplier, like, for example, a shot at the snitch target and up the ramp :)

Hey guys, first time posting here - Ran into a bit of an issue with the JP Deadpool table 1.05 - I will fully admit, I don't have any experience with flexDMD, getting this error when testing the table and I'm a bit lost. Any ideas what I screwed up? Cuz I know its my fault 100% I'm getting an error that says: Line 1852: Object refference not set to an instance of an object and the highlighted Red part on the script says: FlexDMD Run = True - I also noticed when the table loads after this error comes up, a pink box is present between the flippers that seems like something isn't loading.

 

I've tried searching online and the VPX fb group, but no answer as yet - I know this is something I've done wrong, but any help would be awesome.

This is the very first one I've tried to install, I followed a YouTube video by Major Frenchy - It didnt really mesh up with the newer version of flex though, I had to find some DMD.dll files outside of the initial download of FlexDMD.

 

 

I dont know what you have done because i have no idea what is in the video

 

You need 2 things

dmdext-v1.9.0-x86.zip
 

Which gets unzipped into the vpinmame folder

and also should not exist elsewhere, so you should not have multple dmddevice.dlls on the pc

 

Then you need

FlexDMD.zip

And that also gets unziped into the vpinmame folder and then you run flexdmdui and click both register buttons

No DOF config for it?

You may have to make one in dofconfig tool?

Dof flippers and solenoids are all scripted and working as of two weeks ago. Make sure you are using the latest version of Deadpool and also update to the latest DOF config files
