Wow, amazing table tipoto, really looks real and deep, even better then on fp tables.
And angles are very good - no need for layback view.

But i have one problem - flippers move in slow motion on my rig, and they leave fogy trail behind - don't know why - i see lot's of people said they can run it on slow rigs (mine is intel core 2 duo, 2 x 2.4 GHz).

I've checked the script and don't see any easy option to disable flipper animations.
Can i remove or change some parts of the code so that flippers animation is not used or can you add an option to disable flipper animation in next release?

But if you remove the flippers animation, how can you play?

The only thing you can do, if you really want to remove the animation, is to move the flippers EMreels away, but you will get a big hole with no texture right where the flippers were before. That way you will play with the real flippers, but since the real table under the textures is not made to be showed, the playfield is completely black and the flippers color is animated because I needed it when I was scripting the flippers.

For this table, the couple CPU/GPU is important, I have a GTX460 and Q6600 2.4 Ghz overclocked to 3.2 GHz, I really notice a difference between 2.4 and 3.2, but 2.4 is ok, maybe it's better to disable the HKS or the flashers to avoid to much stuttering during busy lights sequences, but you shouldn't have problems with the flippers...
What is your graphic card? Have you try to tweak your graphics card settings?

I'm running it on a newer laptop (not that great) with no flipper lag or stutter at all for that matter, & left all settings enabled besides ball reflection. Tipoto is right, definately got to be in your settings

E6600 here and no lag or other weird things.
What I'm going to say sounds weird, but did you try and run VLC player or firefox in the background ?
On some systems that solves all stutter issues.

gpu is nvidia quadro 140M on ibm/lenovo laptop - probably gpu is too slow

so hiding flipper animation will not bring normal flippers? bad luck sad.gif

That may be the strangest fix I have ever read. But if it works that is great.
What is VLC?

Hmm... I don't know now, but before, the Quadros weren't done to play games. They worked with DirectX, but they worked much better with OpenGL applications. And if I remember they have specific drivers, which makes the compatibility even more difficult probably.

I've heard of people using the same thing for lag. As long as the process is running in the background. Does sound weird, but it's due to a memory leak somewhere. VLC is a free media player. Using if i run up on a movie that won't play in WMP/WMP Classic (very rare) i use VLC to play it, never fails

Salut Tipoto

Ligne actuelle:
If Err Then Msgbox Err.description & vbCrLf & iball

If Err Then Err.Clear

ENGLISH:
Sorry, I can't translate everything, it's too long, but the most important thing to know is that the table is not done to work properly with more than 3 balls in the same time, if you do it, you won't have the ball reflection on ball 4 (and 5) and you will get an error message when the ball goes into the skull or the drain. You can fix this error message through the script if you modify the number of balls at the end of the script, in the ball collision system. I'm not at home now, so I can't say what's the line number and what it looks like exactly.

maybe it's better to disable the HKS or the flashers to avoid to much stuttering during busy lights sequences,

Dumb question: What is HKS, and how do I disable it? I want to try your suggestion, because I get some serious stuttering during Payback Time and after Jackpots, when there are a lot of lights flashing.

Great table! dblthumb.gif

It's not a dumb question, HKS means "Hunter Killer Ship", it's the toy (plane) with the blue and yellow lights flashing sometimes, situated on top of the targets.
It takes some resources when it's flashing.

At the very beginning of the script you have the tables options and some of them are done to improve the performance, you can disable the HKS animation, the flashers, lights fading and the ball reflection.
I don't recommend to disable the ball reflection because the gain is not that big and it's a shame to play without the reflection (and the ball shadow) wink.gif.

Thanks for your explanation! I tried it last night, and disabled everything but the ball reflection. Unfortuneately it didn't help much. Still lots of stuttering. My system isn't fast enough. So I'm going to try one of the other T2 tables instead, and see if those work better for me.

Yes these & other programs used to be a fix for when I'd get stutter on even the blank table. However, months ago nvidia released a driver that fixed this, for me & others. So make sure you got latest drivers.

Regarding the flippers, is it me or is it difficult to aim properly with them? I've never had such a hard time shooting the ball in the right place, reminds me almost of Future Pinball. Or maybe it's because it's been 15 years since I've layed my hands on a T2...

Way to offend two groups at once. What is with people today? Have some respect.

The flipper physics settings are in the editor when you click on the flipper with your mouse. Play around with the settings and find something that works for you. I think someone else just started a thread to share flipper settings. Have fun. smile.gif
