Can i map gamepad buttons to this util with the ini file? I know I can run joy2key but just wondering if I can bypass that for future programs)
No - sorry.

Took the comma out in the above post. Strange. I didn't notice any error.
I'll try your settings TerryRed.
I'm curious if the colors look right for you guys, Any issue with the Yellow_Green looking too green?
TerryRed is using V3 Beta so slightly different behaviour.
I've only had a really quick look, but they all came up for me. I haven't examined the presentation of the colour as at present I only have undercab RGB strips. Just ordered 40 x 3W RGB's and associated stuff .... fun to come in a few weeks time.
Thanks guys.
Should I hold for V3 then to integrate FP?
I think I am closer. Using Quicklaunch to execute DOFFX2Msg, the log does seem to show I'm loading the SUP ini file. Still no table name.
Here is my Quicklanch configuration.

Yes! Success!
The 2 was it.
Thank you TerryRed!
So the way I have it set up is using the SUP ini file for FP. I did not use the SUP_INI="DOFFX2Configs\DOFFX2-PFX2"#GAME_NAME= for FX2. It is working perfect. I wonder if you reverted your setup for FX2, if that would work for you to utilize the game colors.

......
V3 will give you a real-time bi-directional link with FP. FP table scripts need to be coded to call on the various toys and lights. I have pulled together two sample tables and hope others will follow.
From V3 there are two ways to use it with FP, the first is the full integration / live link. The second remains as a 'listener' for flipper keystrokes the same as Pinball FX2, etc. Your setup running it the second way will survive (with some minor changes).

I think I spoke too soon. It doesn't seem to be clearing the table name consistently on exit. I have tried both 1 and 0 for the type in the Quicklaunch settings. Here is how I have that configured. Thoughts?

Try changing type=2, just like with FP?
I haven't used the GAME_FLAG_FILE yet, so I don't know if that is part of this but:
Try changing <command>DOFFX2Msg GAME_NAME=</command>
to <command>GAME_NAME=</command>
You don't need the DOFFX2Msg in there because that is already in your exe path. It's a program, not a command.
I also assume you want GAME_NAME= to be blank so that the GAME_FLAG_FILE will work?

Thanks. Those were good suggestions.
I think I'm figuring out that a type 2 means launch also. 1 means launch after. 0 means launch before.
After further review, I don't think I have the game flags configured right. It only appeared that I had it working because I added a few GAME_COLOUR= codes to the ini for VPX...same as how I have FP.
I need to read the guide and notes and mess around more.
Stay tuned.

GAME_NAME= as a message is only from V3 .... today or tomorrow at this stage.

So, It is time for me to be a presumptuous and try and close off this very large thread with some great news.
Firstly, Version 3.0 is release with real-time bi-directional FP table scripting support. It has a new more appropriate name, DOFLinx. Thanks to TerryRed, GInsonic and doogie2301 for their help in getting V3.0 to this point.
Secondly, a huge thanks to Noah for supporting pinball things that this community will enjoy. DOFLinx now has its own support and discussion forum with some sub-categories, one specifically for FP table scripting. Its download is now hosted here, and FP tables enhanced with DOFLinx force feedback will be loaded here. Again, thank you Noah, the support and your effort to make this possible is appreciated.
Please come on over to the new forum and join the discussion. Now you can start a new thread per issue / question making help, searching and use of DOFLinx so much easier. Ultimately it all leads to more toys and more pinball based fun for all.
For those who have been using DOFFX2, when you upgrade everything named DOFFX2 will need to change to DOFLinx. A quick reminder list;

Hi,
unfortunately I had to reinstall my computer due to a computer virus.
I copied all Files to my new system. Everything is working fine but DOFFX2 not. I tried the new DOFLinx but the same.

The error is because the code is either looking for the ini file or a setting within the ini file. So you probably just need to set this up again (i.e. it's a DOF error not .net framework).

Real DMD support!
What is it with you people?
I own two real pinball machines and like everyone else who owns real pinball machines, we either spend the money or wish to spend the money to upgrade the real DMD's to color LCD's to improve the experience. It make no sense at all to use real DMD for FX2 pinball when they purposely match the DMD screen color to the color theme of the table. Nor would it add anything to justify the extra expense and hassle. I suggest you go spend time playing real tables with real DMD to get over your hype about it. It's time we move on to better things in pinball. Go look at the Jersey Jack machines and the new Heighway Pinball Aliens table to see the possibilities with LCD and quit living in the past. The younger generation ain't going for it!
