Okay, I have to think about it ... I really don't want to kill my working setup ;-)

One more idea occurs to me: if all you're after is a few more PWM outputs with your existing setup, you could just add a second KL25Z.  DOF is perfectly happy to split the flashers across two devices, and the only wiring you'd have to change is to move 5 of the flasher ports over to the second KL25Z.

Mike, is the v2 build guide down? I'm getting a loop on the link after I select my build options.

Seems to work for me.  Maybe it's something about the particular options you're selecting - what's the URL it's generating for you?

First I get this, when I've selected custom build with expansion boards no chime: http://mjrnet.org/pi...ver=R3.201602xx

When I click that link, I loops back to the same page (http://mjrnet.org/pi...e/BuildGuideV2/) and I get this with same options selected: http://mjrnet.org/pi...ver=R3.201602xx

Repeats when I do it again, adds another custom=EN.SS.CY.NY.PO.PcY.BY.OY.TvW&expver=R3.201602xx

Macbook, Chrome  (ditto for Safari and Firefox)

UPDATE: When I went through the Preview link, I was able to get "in."  http://www.mjrnet.or...eV2/preface.htm

Thanks for the details - I think I see what's going on.  Looks like a dumb bug I introduced when I moved some stuff around recently.  I just fixed it, so hopefully it'll work next time you land there from either link.

Thought, I should share some pics of finished boards... ;)

Took about 5 hours for both boards to complete!
Fully loaded except for the infrared sensor.
Since live in the EU I used the bc337 and bc327 instead of the 2N4401/03 the Pins are rotated 180 degrees.

Thanx! They're just as good as the designer who created them ;)
It's always amazing to see this project evolve and how much time you spend here in the forums and doing this great stuff!

Quick question. Is there a length limit to the ribbon cable that connects the Pinscape Main board to the powerboard?

I've tested with lengths around 3', so anything in that range (or shorter) should be fine.  I'm sure there's some limit where the signal will get too degraded above a certain length, but I haven't tested to find the exact limit.  I'd keep it as short as you can, but my guess is that even 5' or 6' should still work fine - hopefully you won't need too much more than that in a 5' pin cab. :)

thanks!   Since I am using a donor cab, I was thinking of placing the pinscape board in the front where the cashbox would usually go, then moving the power board behind it into the next section of the cab. I'll go with about 12-15" cable that I can re-purpose from a desktop pc.

That should work just fine.  12-15" should be no problem.

Is there anyone with a spare base PCB and a spare power PCB (in Europe maybe)?

I would like to build the twee boards, but I'm a bit doubtful to order 10 PCB's (2 times 5), if I only need two of them

Nice  :)

But 24 euro's (for two) versus 29 dollars (for ten) via Elecrow... Tough decision   :P

2 x 9,50 + 10 USD shipping, and no tax, because the total is less than 22 euro's (without shipping). We don't pay tax if the order, without shipping, is less than 22 euro's, if shipped to The Netherlands outside of the EU  :P

But let me think about it.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned.
Is it possible to use the CCD sensor as analog plunger and ZB Launch Ball at the same time? Let's say, pull plunger to launch ball and do skill shots and push plunger to shoot the ball during game like the Terminator 2 cannon.

Yes and no...

No, not at *exactly* the same time.  It's always in one more or the other at any given time.

But...  the mode is controlled automatically through the DOF "ZB Launch Ball" signal.  You don't need to go into the options and change the setting every time you start a new game.  Simply always leave it with ZB Launch enabled and it'll automatically switch between analog mode and launch mode according to which type of game you have loaded.
