the board will run any size pinball dmd you can buy (using different firmware). its just a matter of rendering that image onto the actual dmd you end up with smile.gif

if you buy a 128x32 (98% of machines use) and try and run a game with a larger display it physically cant fit on the display so needs to be scaled and will look crap sad.gif

so it CAN do it, but will look cack smile.gif

the only way to run those games correct is to buy a 192x64/256x64 display smile.gif then you can play EVERY table lol. but is it worth the cost/space for like 4-6 tables? smile.gif

that choice is upto you lot smile.gif

don't worry if you haven't made the first batch as i WILL make a much larger second batch smile.gif (turn around will be alot faster too!!)

Great, I understand better the wiring, but what is the black part, is it just a protection for the wires?

BTW do you also use a fuse like maxxsinner?

This looks like a standard DMD to me that would require a transformer.

I agree. That is the same board you can get from Mad Amusements for the same price.
However it is not just 5 volts. It requires all the other crazy voltages as well. sad.gif

I'm considering ordering the red, 100 bucks in my pocket is appreciated but I wonder if on the long run, I would really miss the orange? Do you guys think you could live with the red? eh

I had no problem saving the $100. smile.gif
Of course I can't really tell if I will like it till Russ' boards come in, but I can't imagine it will be a problem.
Maybe if I were sticking it in a dedicated real pinball I would, but it is a virtual machine anyway. Should add to the uniqueness.
I also read that Stern is going to red DMD's in their machines soon.
I think I would be happy with purple if it were a real working DMD.

I bought the red led dmd, hope the non-super bright version is ok, not bad for 250 USD shipped
