I completed all the jewels in the Scimitar. I fought the Genius and the Genius won. I'm so pissed, i won't sleep well tonight.

Hi Harakiri,
Still a good job I think, you probably know that the trick is to keep plunging those drained balls? (they are fed back to the plunger), the Genie can only win when you are slower with plunging then he can pull the princess towards him.
I saw that I posted my best score a while back in this thread, it was around 96M with almost 2 princesses rescued. Your attached pic tickles me to try again though......really nice table with some added suspension due to the unpredictable lamp-toy in the middle of the table!
Sleep well.....

Hi Bolt,
Having fun with Dragon Age? I recently finished and without giving out spoilers I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed it! Every game I really like to finish has been a good game for me, mediocre games I tend not to finish because my interest wanes before the end. I have the expansion ready to be installed on my new PC but for now I put some time into pinball again. You can beat us on TOTAN!

@Harakiri: I'm quite rusty on TOTAN but have reached 35M+ again in a game. So give me some days and I'll try to better my 96M!

Hello Slam23,

Dragon Age is a lot of fun, but is also very difficult. Although football World Cup, I have now played about 15 hours. The story is great but I have too little money for better things. Am now in a monastery with many small and three larger dragon.

Yesterday I played totan three times and have scored only 20 million.
I have to practice very much, the VP8 version was so much simpler.

I wish you a nice arabian pinball night

It seems that JP has added some kickers that are not present in the real game. One below the jet bumpers, one to left of the game mode lights, and one below the drop targets. The real pin only has the standard two slingshots at the bottom. So those other areas should just be rubbers... not something that kicks the ball in crazy directions.

I just changed the slingshot force to zero on those 3 items from my table file and the game plays great. Should also remove the slingshot 'click' sound from those areas. Only the roms sound should be present for those switches. They are easy to spot in the editor as big black lines that stand out, the walls have names like "sw11" just search in the script to fix the sounds

Thanks! I'll definitely will check this out! The one to the left of the game mode lights, is that where you start things like "Keno", "Slot Machine" and "Casino Run"? Is there a way to lower the responsiveness of the 2 standard slingshots without rendering them inactive? Is this as simple as just lowering the force parameter, or does it involve more than that? I know of GRONI tables where the ball can softly hit the slingshots without triggering a response, then the ball just trickles down the slingshots. Much obliged,

Those money problems will solve themselves eventually, but I remember also that it took quite a while. So you're in all kind of shops looking at great stuff without the money for it...
The monastery was a tough job, try to kill every dragon/drake though, it's worth it (and not only because of the xp you gain)! Happy dragon hunting!

Hi Slam23,

I'm playing as a Warrior Lv 9, no further specialization so far, does not know how to do that.
How can get my Warrior Lv 9 a specialization ?

My faithful team:
Leliana Lv 10
Morrigan Lv 10
Alistar Lv 10

I like the arguments between Morrigan and Alistar.
The random battle is damn hard, to much enemy.

Hi Bolt,

You can unlock specializations through talking to party members in the camp and getting a high positive reputation (above 75 or 80), through items you can by (manuals/books) and through plot. When levelling up, at the first screen you can set attributes at the left and on the right hand page at the top you see 4 specializations for warrior (Champion, Berserker, etc). When they are lit, you can choose them. This is always possible, even when you already have set the attributes etc, you can choose this from the character screen and levelup.
When you are finished I will tell you about my favorites, otherwise it maybe a spoiler. I played a rogue though, which I specialised in assassination and duelling.
Have fun!

Yep the game mode lights are Keno, Slot Machine etc. That kicker is named sw12 on JP's Jackbot.

If you like the way Groni's slingshots work,
I would just load of my favorite Groni table and check the values on his slingshots and then change the ones in Jackbot to those values.

Looking at Groni's TSPP his values for the slingshot rubber that bows out(wall46 on TSPP) are:
Hit threshold: 1
Slingshot Force: 6
Slingshot Threshold: 2.5
Elasticity: 0.5

For the slingshot form fitting rubber(Wall635 on TSPP):
Hit threshold: 2
Slingshot Force: 1
Slingshot Threshold: 0
Elasticity: 0.64

The slingshot itself(leftSlingshot):
Hit threshold 1
Slingshot force: 6
Slingshot Threshold: 2.5
Elasticity: 0.5

Nice Jack-bot score Crazy DarnFool Duck,
which version you played?
The VP8 version is much slower, it is also easier.

I deleted all my old VP8 highscores when the new VP9 version appeared.

Look at my post with the Twilight Zone score post.

It says VP8. Does that answer your question?

Hmmmm,
I guess there is no reason to post high scores on Jackbot, or any other table for that matter, if everyone is going to change the table to make it easier. Yeah, sometimes the slings kick it into the outlane. A few less kickers and relatively no power to the slingshots will increase scores. MIght as well make the flippers longer too. No tilt, raise the outlane rail a quarter inch, and ummm lets go with 5 or 10 balls.
Except everyone's table is going to be different. EASY PEASY!!! It is supposed to be a challenge.
I agree the clacky sounds could be changed to a different sound tho, those are annoying.
But lets not kid ourselves about high scores, and compare them with those who are playing THE ORIGINAL VERSION
If the ten best players here played at a tournament in real life, they would be playing the same machine, not ten adjusted machines..
Its no longer comparing apples to apples. If you have changed the script and settings to what you believe is the best settings/most realistic to real life, then release a mod, with your name on it, and then when you post a high score give some information....like author, version number. and MODifications.

After getting home from a night of drinking, I decided to turn on my arcade cab and play a quick game before crashing. I didn't have anything in mind and ended up playing the Megapin Simpsons Pinball Party (Groni's original settings, nothing changed). I had 77 mil at the end of my first ball, and finished an hour later with

206,379,850

I've gotten some of my best scores when drinking. I guess I should stock up for July's tournament. bar2.gif
