I had reported ball stutter on Buck Rogers VP10 version. Changing fps/vsync to "1" totally cleared that up. I'd been running it at "60" before.

@JP

Beautiful table, thanks

My grand daughters love it, but the ball drops into the outlane every time it falls onto the top posts of the slingshots.

I would like to increase the elasticity to the top posts on each sling shot, Which object would I select to do this?

I tried selecting the slingshot Rubber Ring but the elasticity is grayed out.

Can anyone help on this?

That's because there are 4 rubber rings on each slingshot. 3 of them are just for the animation, they are not collidable, that's why the elasticity is greyed out. You need to change the ones named LeftSling1 and RightSling1.

Knorr,

Thank you for this gem. Dirty Harry plays really nicely. I just spent the last two hours thoroughly enjoying your work. Lighting and sounds are superb. So many of these new VP10 tables look awesome set to "night," and this one is no exception. I love the ball acceleration as it travels down the wire ramp on the right side - so cool! The gun looks amazing. Smooth gameplay on gtx750ti. Changed my video setting fps/vsync to "1" (formerly set at "60") and now experience no stutter.

I guess the only little suggestion I'd make is to suggest that the outlines on the three little arrow lights on the left loop are kinda jaggy. It's a really nit picky thing, I know, and could easily be left as is. If the rest of the table didn't look so damn REAL, I wouldn't even notice this sort of thing!

Thanks for the hours of pinball fun!

:)

I increased the elasticity to 1.4 seems to work well.

Tables update for rev 2401:

I have updated all my tables so they work with rev 2401.

Not all the tables have the new droptargets (actually only the Zelda table has the new droptargets), but they have a new HDR image. I wanted a single source of light, mostly to make the lamp in TOTAN to look like the real one, and not a rendering with hundreds of lights. At the same time I wanted a HDR image which could give the metals and wire ramps a better look, bright on some parts (top) and dark on others (bottom). I made the image after looking at many HDR images, and many experiments.

I also added a more grey ball that I think fits better with this HDR image.

If you want the tables lighter or darker you may use the day/night slider, and maybe also change the Environment Emis. Scale, the lower the darker the table will be (I use 6 for lighter tables and 3 for darker, but this depends on the HDR image used). I like lighter tables, so I tend to make them lighter as default. But with VP10 it is not a problem anymore :)

I have only adjusted the tables for desktop view, and to use them in the FS view some of the lights/flashers will need to be moved. I hope to find a better way to place them so they can be displayed fine in all the angles.

List of the tables now available at my site:

ARFM_1.0.vpx
El_Bueno_el_Feo_y_el_Malo_1.0.vpx
JP-Nascar-Race_vers-1.08.vpx
Legend_of_zelda_v1.0.5.vpx
Papa_Smurf_1.08.vpx
Smurfette_v1.0.vpx
TOTAN_1.0.2.vpx
WOW-Monopoly-1.08.vpx

So there are a few new tables. As always I have tried to use only VP10 features, and do not use any photoshop tricks, mostly to see how good the tables can be using VP objects. I also haven't used 100 of lights to make the GI and other effects, but I have tried to keep the ampunt of lights to a minimum. Some tables play better than others. And I guess I still use too low values for the object's friction (on the playfield, rubbers, metals, etc). I need to experiment a little more with those values :)

Has anyone found decent FS settings for JP's latest TOTAN 1.0.2?

Cirqus Voltaire release 6.

https://mega.nz/#!6M...UQx_kreiEKEZY60

Fixed a massive layout problem where the ball launch would fire the ball up behind the ringmaster and get stuck behind the diverter.

Watched some PAPA videos to see where the ball should actually go when it exits the launch ramp and made corrections.

Fixed a weird error on the juggler magnet trigger which would sometimes crash the game in the later versions of VPX.

Added a new cvar  - Const BackGlassDMD = 0

If set to 1 this will render a static title image on the DMD area if you prefer to move the pinmame DMD to your backglass or use a real DMD (which sits in the backglass).

If this is the first time you've installed the VPX version of CV then obtain this nvram file which includes the appropriate settings for the diverter and eddy board detection.

(Backup your current version first to maintain your own high scores etc if this is important to you.)

DLL has been decompressed on VP Folder with the VPX.exe

VBS has been decompressed on Tables Folder

I've tried to download rom for these tables but it crashes in the final loading process.

Maybe I should try a clean installation of VPX, because now I'm using the same VP9.2 / VP9.9 folder...

EDIT:

I've tried a clean installation but same problem. Could be the VPinMame.dll?

Hi @all

same to me, VPX crashes and Tables on former Versions do not work any more.

Greetings Kellogs

I'd commented that a few of the black outlines surrounding three of the table lights on Knorr's Dirty Harry VP10 table looked jagged. Knorr kindly PM'd me a picture of the real table. The outlines were drawn in a jagged style by the original table artist. Thanks for correcting me, Knorr.

I can no longer get the colored DMDs to display on the latest desktop versions of JP's wonderful VP10 tables (eg, TOTAN, WOW Monopoly, AARFM, etc.), though earlier versions are working just fine. Since no one else has mentioned this, it's probably something on my end and probably something obvious, but I thought I'd better report it just in case it is some kind of bug.

I'm having the problem on both my Windows 8.1 pc's and only with the desktop colored DMDs. I've tried both VP10 2409 and 2401 (the version they were built on), being sure to use the vbs 's that came with each version. Grasping at straws, I've also tried rolling back the latest Nvidia driver update. That I'm having this problem with only the latest versions of these particular tables is what has me especially mystified.

Edit: In case anybody else has this issue, I was able to get the DMDs to display by replacing references to "UseVPMColoredDMD" in the portion of the script beginning at line 11 of the new versions with "UseVPMDMD," which is how the earlier versions had read.

Time for testing by the people.   :bar2:

I've been wanting to make Gottlieb's Pyramid (2 player EM version of Cleopatra) for a while, and happened to run across an old VP8 jpsalas version on one of those "other" sites.  JP was nice enough to share even more of his resources than what was in the table, and with the more recent Cleopatra SS tables that have been done there were plenty of good resources, and I found a decent backglass image on the internet somewhere.  Used JP's code mostly for play logic, and went off to the races.  I happened to get enough resources to do something I had wanted to do with my Gemini table, and that was make two versions in one, yes TWO!  There is a old, rusty, faded, worn, yellowed version and there is a nice bright shiny version all in the same table.  Borrowed the idea from loserman76 and gnance for the hold down left shift to open the options menu, and let you choose not only number of balls and replay levels, but whether you want to play clean or dirty.

So big thanks to jpsalas, loserman76, gnance and the internet.  Oh yeah and those guys adding all the cool stuff to VP10.

Table available on my dropbox also contains the directb2s file CLICK HERE.  Enjoy and feedback most welcome (I think the slings still need some adjusting, more dark and dirty coming as well)

pyramidpreview.png

Oh and like all my tables, the FS settings are for my cab, adjustments will be necessary.  My displays look like:

Hello,

I just started to test VPX. It is really good so far, and I get good fun on cirqus. Awsome work on VPX in general!

When trying to run Totan 1.0.2 i get some errors...

undefined variable "cvpmthrough", anyone has an idea?

I see in the script that it looks for vbscript 3.46. In the download section I can only find the 3.43, could it be my problem? where can i find an updated version?

Thanks a lot!
