Tables update for rev 2401:
I have updated all my tables so they work with rev 2401.
Not all the tables have the new droptargets (actually only the Zelda table has the new droptargets), but they have a new HDR image. I wanted a single source of light, mostly to make the lamp in TOTAN to look like the real one, and not a rendering with hundreds of lights. At the same time I wanted a HDR image which could give the metals and wire ramps a better look, bright on some parts (top) and dark on others (bottom). I made the image after looking at many HDR images, and many experiments.
I also added a more grey ball that I think fits better with this HDR image.
If you want the tables lighter or darker you may use the day/night slider, and maybe also change the Environment Emis. Scale, the lower the darker the table will be (I use 6 for lighter tables and 3 for darker, but this depends on the HDR image used). I like lighter tables, so I tend to make them lighter as default. But with VP10 it is not a problem anymore ![]()
I have only adjusted the tables for desktop view, and to use them in the FS view some of the lights/flashers will need to be moved. I hope to find a better way to place them so they can be displayed fine in all the angles.
List of the tables now available at my site:
ARFM_1.0.vpx
El_Bueno_el_Feo_y_el_Malo_1.0.vpx
JP-Nascar-Race_vers-1.08.vpx
Legend_of_zelda_v1.0.5.vpx
Papa_Smurf_1.08.vpx
Smurfette_v1.0.vpx
TOTAN_1.0.2.vpx
WOW-Monopoly-1.08.vpx
So there are a few new tables. As always I have tried to use only VP10 features, and do not use any photoshop tricks, mostly to see how good the tables can be using VP objects. I also haven't used 100 of lights to make the GI and other effects, but I have tried to keep the ampunt of lights to a minimum. Some tables play better than others. And I guess I still use too low values for the object's friction (on the playfield, rubbers, metals, etc). I need to experiment a little more with those values ![]()
