Joe,

One comment. The 15 second "delay" that is currently in place for the tables to load. I dont know about everyone else, but I still have several tables that need a few more seconds to boot so that the desired table vid is created. I tend to run the tool overnight, meaning unattended. Has anyone else had similar concerns? If the delay were 20 seconds, it work better for my purposes. Could this parameter be made select-able like the other parameters?

I can make it configurable in a future release.  1.3 had it at 30 seconds.  1.4 release it is changed to 15

If you have autohotkey installed, you can change the setting now.  Copy the 1.4 script from the ahk script folder to the main folder.  Open the script and change Loadtime at the top from 15 to 20.  Double click on the ahk file to run it

GTXJoe.  I tried setting up this OBS Studio version to create FP video's but do you know if Carny's version will actually work under Win XP (as it links to a 64bit compiled executable)?  Also, does this only work for PinballX installs and not a Hyperpin install that you so kindly set up in beta for me ?????

Sorry, the script can be compiled into a 32bit version but your issue will be OBS:

Thanks Carny - That's a shame.  I will try Cute Screen Recorder as Camtasia no longer supports XP either..... One day I will update to W7 or W10 so I can use my SSD drive too!!!  With 431 tables all running well under Hyerpin, I am just a little bit hesitant to upgrade from XP....

What a great little gem this piece of software. I didn't know it existed until today and this saves me tons of time updating table and media. Thanks a lot Joe!

A BIG BIG Thx, GTX Joe!!!!!!!! :love39:

Fantastic idea! So easy to use!  Simply genious!!!!!

2 Questions: Can I start it to grab only one single table video???   E.g. if I changed a VPX table to night mode, and I want to "update" also the preview video in PinballX?

And: Can it record this videos for the real DMD in a Cab???    There is a check for "DMD videos" but I think this is "only" for a 3re screen used as a DMD???

Anyway - GREAT GREAT GREAT software!!!!!!! :love39:

I uploaded a new version 1.5 which has a button now to let you select a Table and force a re-recording of a table.

http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11913

This version also contains a new PBX game manager type utility to find and add new tables to Pinballx.  Here is a video

Regarding DMD video recording for real DMD users, PBX Recorder needs to capture video off of a Windows monitor, so I don't think this is possible.  However, Sigma415 has already recorded and edited pretty much all the DMD videos needed.  They are available on the PinballX FTP site.  I have asked if I can share a link.  (I did create a utility to record all the DMD videos also in 128x32 avi format but it modifies the vpinmame registry, so its not something I want to release currently.  So I do have raw unedited 80 second DMD videos which you can use VirtualDub to edit if you want these...

Hi gtxjoe!

Thx for the infos about the real DMD issue...  Maybe I take later (some month :) ?!)  a look at the others ways to complete the PinballX look :)

Just found this Topic, can't wait to try it out.

Do I need the codec pack from the Pinballx site to run the videos proper?

how can I change the code to scale down the video output from 4k to 1920?

I have problems running those videos generated in PBX recorder in 4k resolution on PinballX (it crashes). Carny_Priest proposed scaling down the resolution and I think this is a godd idea.

Not at home to try this, but search for this section in the ahk script  "Convert Videos to .f4v/.mp4"

In that section you will see 3 ffmpeg conversions for playfield, bg and dmd mkv files. try adding the scale option to the command line:     -s 1920x1080

Wow!! This worked straightaway :dblthumb:

in detail:

replace this line:

Run, "%FFMpegPath%\ffmpeg" -y -i "%A_ScriptDir%\playfield.mkv" -ss 5 -to 1000 -vf %PFRotation% -c:v libx264 -crf 26 "%MediaOutPath%\%MediaSubDirOut%\Table Videos\%SearchString%.%RecExt%",,UseErrorLevel

with:

Run, "%FFMpegPath%\ffmpeg" -y -i "%A_ScriptDir%\playfield.mkv" -s 1920x1080 -ss 5 -to 1000 -vf %PFRotation% -c:v libx264 -crf 26 "%MediaOutPath%\%MediaSubDirOut%\Table Videos\%SearchString%.%RecExt%",,UseErrorLevel

Thanks so much!

Thanks gtxjoe for the update, the single table option is a really nice option! I had some issues last night with one table that didn't want to run but forcing it will definitely help :). Perhaps good to mention that the 4K discussion is does not apply to those who do not have a real DMD.

You mean the issue I discussed above? Because I also don't have a real DMD and had the problem.

Need some help here. PBXrecorder log keeps showing no DirectB2S/B2S.exe file. Every table. All are the exact same file name as the table file. They are all located in the same folders as the table file too. I'm trying to run version 1.5 of PBXrecorder.

Thanks

-Jeff
