Thanks ICP, more references never hurt,  there's one pic of the T-Rex I wish I had when I was modeling, would of helped me see it clearer but it's all good.

Will have options for the yellow posts. To be yellow or black and they will match either day or night mod textures

Yellow posts are all going to be replaced by primitives which as UW mentioned will have the option of changing between black and yellow posts as the factory default is black, and there will be dark/light versions for each which will be easily changed via start menu.

There's spot lights on either sides of the T-Rex which will be incorporated into the "on" texture map for the Trex, so the look of the Trex will change a bit by the time it's ready for release, again in both dark/light modes.  I'm probably going to darken the 'off' texture since the lights are on the T-Rex most of the time for better contrast between the two.

We don't want to work over each other to avoid having to do anything twice so right now it's pretty much LoadedWeapon's turn on the table, he's really setting the mood now by getting all the lights in.  Once he's done we'll be adding a bunch more primitives and working to get the textures right.  The 'JP' mosquito amber still needs alternate maps for it's lighting effect as that has been replaced by primitive.

The table is coming together nicely now though.  I'm not going to say expect a release too soon just because I'd like to take some extra time to fine tune and get everything as good as we can get it first.  There's a few minor game play issues that need to be fixed for example, the ball can get stuck on the bumpers frequently on launch and there's also supposed to be a diversion metal flap that prevents a ball from rolling back into the bumpers when shot around the T-rex bend, raptor kick out needs improving etc.

Oh, good! SWT needed some work on the LED lights on that cannon. The documented bias fix just wasn't really good enough in DX9. I still play this one in v921.

With Star Wars being so popular among nerds, I'm sure we could find a 3D model for the X-wing for free to use that's fairly low poly for this.  It's the only thing that really moves on this table right?  Does the tie fighter wobble or anything maybe?  I recently got not perfect but good resources for the tie fighter on this table courtesy of slashbot.

Yep, the Tie Bomber should wobble, but I don't remember exactly when.

Also, I remember that the big red inserts above Vader are not switched on as often as on the real table. Do you think it could be fixed?

Hey dark, from memory I think the X-Wing was already modeled. A guy called ArcadeMaximus did and his progress on the model was in a thread about this table.

Looking great by the way LW!

edit: it was in this original WIP thread http://www.vpforums....ic=21497&page=3

The tie fighter was one of the first 3d models that I remember reading about.  It looks great to me!
