Great table but I cant seem to get the jump rope to work, when I hit it up the ramp it then pops the ball up but it never goes over to the jump rope area?

Hi Cue777,

once the rope starts moving, You must press the left or right flipper key to jump. A good rope position is about 4 to 5 'o clock, just before the rope hits the ball.

It is quite tricky though - and the rope changes its speed after a while.

The Speed Bag at the top right requires You to hit the flipper buttons to punch the ball.

Regards

Michael

Yes but thats after the ball is in the jump rope area right? My ball gets kicked out of the hole in the playfield and goes straight up and down back to the side ramp, it never goes up to the jump rope area.

Have you done some modifications to the table ? Try download it again - not changing anything if you have. I tried a while back to make this table playable on PM5 physics and I gave up. Maybe I should give it another try since I've tackled more advanced stuff since then.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Tried deleting it and adding again and it still does the same thing. Everything else plays great, just the ball jumps straight up and down instead of jumping into the rope jump area. Have not changed any settings in the game or script.

Hi Cue,

the mechanics for this jump are a bit rough. You can try to adjust two parameters within the script:

line 284:          bsPopper.KickZ=1.3962640000000001

here settings from 1.38 to 1.42 are working for me, with 1.39 looking the best

line 282:          bsPopper.InitSaucer Popper,28,355,24

the last parameter is the kick force. Values from 20 to 30 are working

Good luck

Michael

Still cant get it to jump over to the rope jump area, it jumps high enough, but not over enough so when it pops the ball it just goes straight up and down. Got another setting to try and adjust?

If I remember correctly it hits hidden walls. Just unhide those walls and adjust. Easier to fix if you see what is happening. Don't know why it doesn't work for you though. Do you have a joystick or something to read nudge with attached to you cab ? I see from another site that you have some weirdness going on.

No idea how to unhide walls :) Im not sure what you mean by asking if I have a joystick to read nudge with? I have one of Pauls Virtuapin machines from this site, it has this plunger http://virtuapin.net...products_id=105

... he is working on a VPX version. WIP = Work In Progress.

So, if you can't get this to work - have patience :)
