@rascal

I think you raised a very good point about table creators having to adapt, but this is a risk to take if we want to go forward with a new generation of tables.

Isn't it ironic that the name of the engine is UNITY, and it has the potential to unite VP & FP.

It's still a little early to uncircle the cabinets. rofl.gif

I never saw the war and I was in the middle of it the whole time?

I would prefer that one admin of the forum create a paypal account ,and put the donations here ...

Then you could transfer that to my paypal account ,once the job will be finished and fully working

ok, paypal is up and active for this - the address is:
[email protected]

I hope to have some extra money the end of next week to put into it. For now it's a whopping $1.50! - have to start somewhere.

I just send over 50$. I forgot to type anything in the message field. But I guess it say it's from me since my paypal name have MRZ in it. smile.gif

kruge, your comments on this thread are really great (especially your early/latest one's)... they all are great contributions for further development of virtual pinball and their communities... thank you, and please stay as open-minded as you are!

and did you donated already? thanks again...

Destruk, what have we collected yet all together? smile.gif It's great to see a lot of people donating relatively high amounts of money. It really means that the pinball community has a real future. Has the donation e-mail address also been made known at Go Pinball? If not I think this should be done so the collaboration starts from the beginning of the project wink.gif

I've been banned at gopinball for years, so no. Anyone can feel free to post the address over there - "[email protected]"

Currently we have $581.44 donated towards this. I'm sure we can reach the goal as soon as some demos get released to see what it will be able to do.

Payday just came and went right out the window as it's the end of the month and the x-mas collectors needed to beaten off with an ugly stick! I'll donate something as soon as I can. Oh, and in case it isn't clear, I'm all open minded for virtual pinball - it's a small group of fanatics that have a problem with me apparently. Like, I'm a spy! Yeah, a real life "True Lies" type of pinball spy no less! stunned.gif Who knew?!?

Best Regards,
Todd.

As its been said, donations won't be a problem once demos are released. That doesn't mean people should not donate now of course...

This is a cool project. I do hope people temper their expectations though, if simply to understand that there are differences in an open world physics program and a pinball table which has different collision reactions depending on surfaces, etc. I'm not saying it won't be great, just temper your expectations. What Randy got right with VP physics proves it can be done, but what we've seen since VP's inception proves also its hard to top.

Congrats on how far its gone already, very much looking forward to seeing where this is heading. My worse case scenario is not that this will replace VP or FP, but simply provide us a third quality option. Anything more is one heck of a bonus.
