i have a sidewinder freestyle pro in the cabinet then maybe that is causing it , hoping also that somebody would post the link .

Same here. Ya it goes into analog joystick plunger mode even though VP settings has the analog plunger disabled. Search the vbscript for "motion" and delete the 3 lines you find starting with if, the motion line, and end if. Sorry I can't be more specific as I'm away from computer. But if you do the above it should be obvious.

OK, I know that is not the time for new requests, it would be very useful to display in panel as property, the name of the imported 3D mesh, eliminates confusion in finding the right item when many objects have similar names, examples : Toy1, Toy2, Toy2a,  ....

Thanks

Deleting those 3 lines (per table). That's all you have to do.

I noticed there's some sort of bug that can happen for analog nudging too.  When installed the DX9 port, since it uses a new registry location, my nudging wasn't calibrated correctly.   I figured I'd get to that later, so I disabled analog nudge.   But on some tables, analog nudging would work anyway!

To fix the double plunger for people with freestyle pro controllers.

Go to scrip Look for the Plunger routine to find them, they will look like this after you change them....
Set a ' before the text or remove the lines and then save the table

'If Plunger.MotionDevice> 0 Then
' Plunger.TimerEnabled = 1
' Plunger.MechPlunger = 1
'End If

Is there any way to to get higher than 1280x1024 windowed fullscreen mode in the final DX9 9.9 release?

Humm, your right1 I usually set my desktop screen lower and select the higher setting in the video options for fullscreen for the table. The windowed full screen only shows the maximum for what you have you desktop set to....

I wonder if the Devs intend to return to fullscreen non windowed mode in VP 9.91 or VP 10 ? or is this the new standard?

Thanks

Rich

Probably not.  The issue is that VPinMame or B2S can't appear over a DX9 fullscreen exclusive window.  Since almost nobody uses VP without VPinMame, there's not much purpose for the exclusive full screen mode.

It might be possible to add it back if VP takes on doing the rendering of the VPinMame DMD for non-B2S users, but what is the use case for adding it back?

For me, I would really like to see non-windowed full screen return to VP.  For those of us who are desktop users only and who have visual impairments, a non-windowed full screen mode would allow us to be able to play and not have difficulties seeing the ball or objects on a table.

Just my two cents.

Is there some way to have the higher resolution options your monitor is capable of in windowed fullscreen mode, show up in the editor video options so you can pick them without having your default desktop also set to max resolution? Or is this just a windows OS limitation.

Either way the performance and table improvements are worth the compromise. I'll just have to set the Icons and text to larger old man (like me) sizes :) to try to compensate.

The problem is that you would get a pinball game (window) that is larger than your viewport (screen) unless it set your overall resolution anyway, putting you back in the same boat.

But from a user's perspective, windowed full screen looks identical to real fullscreen (as long as your desktop resolution is what you would have chosen as your fullscreen mode). Why does it make the ball harder to see?

Believe me, I would love to support true fullscreen, but it would require changes to VPM and db2s. VPM we could deal with, but db2s isn't open source, so not much we can do. I guess at least for desktop users, we can re-enable true fullscreen once the VPM situation is resolved.

I respect your opinion mukuste.

To me, however, windowed mode displays the table in such a matter that even with the resolution in the window is the same as the desktop I can not see everything clearly as I feel it is too small for someone with vision problems.  I never play VP in windowed mode for that reason.  Even when I try windowed full screen I have issues seeing the table clearly.  There is something with windowed mode (or windowed full screen mode) that makes it difficult for me to see everything clearly.  Whether the mode compacts the images of the ball or objects too much I am not sure.  It is just that I can not follow the ball as it goes around the table properly.

VP9.9 Works almost perfectly but I've found some graphics error in Theater of magic mirrormod FS, the Trunk and Flippers disappears when in movement and when the motion is terminated it's all cracked in pieces.

Cirqus Voltaire_Platinum 1.5 FS doesn't start at all (doh! my favourite table) it gives me an error in the script on the lines 2294

name = WshShell.RegRead ("HKCU\Software\Visual Pinball\RecentDir\TableFileName0")

and 1088

Set WBall = kicker1.Createsizedball(50):WBall.Image = BigBallImage(BColor):kicker1.Kick 0, 0

any ideas?

There should be absolutely no visual differences between windowed-fullscreen and true-fullscreen.    The only exception is if you picked a true-fullscreen mode that's different than your desktop resolution.

Are you saying that you intentionally use a low-resolution desktop (to make fonts bigger) and want to go into a higher resolution mode during gameplay to make the pinball graphics clearer?

Obviously, you are not visually impaired like I am!

I am using the highest desktop resolution possible on my video card, but any windowed mode causes problems with my vision.  I have found the ONLY way is to use true full screen.
