oooohhhh..... I have something i've been seeing happening lately

when setting the inclination to "0" in the POV on tables with kicker holes.... the kicker disappears... and only if you change it to "1" or "2" does it show....

why set the inclination to "0" I found on EM's and early SS single level tables..... IMO look best at zero... I also noticed JP is also doing this....

examples:
my evel knievel

Black Sheep Squadron
and a few others...

I wonder if that was why I was having such a time with the kickers. Well, I gave up trying to use newer primitives and reverted back to my original methods on the tables I've migrated into VPX. I guess I will just add that to my list of items to check off before I start releasing  them.

Off topic, but... Loserman, have you had a chance to play rothbauerw's recent Flash Gordon? The center kicker is really something -- realistic ball swirl / settle. Don't know how he got the effect. Raised playfield maybe? No pressure to follow suit, but man... it's pretty cool.

Would be nifty if we could export and import those new sound settings to a file just like with the backdrop POV.

Toxie & Fuzzel,

I have two crashed to report, which are reproducible. Both when VPX goes into the start mode to play a table.

a) Is "windowed fullscreen" - table "Ripley - Believe it, or not" > long loading time, than crash before rom emulation starts (only this tables, all others run fine)

b) "forced fullscreen" - happens with all tables > load loading time, than crash

My setup: I5, 8 gigs RAM, GTX 970 with latest driver, Win 10 64 bit (all updates), PIN2DMD (latest drivers), all with the latest VPX 10.4 beta

Thanks for help!

Both crash logs point to VPM. For me it looks like you have an issue with you're installation

I noticed another with the Kicker Holes, Frens awesome AMH: Kicker Hole behind the Door is "in Front",
its VPX or Settings on Object ?

Edit: Bad Fix: set to KickerInvisible ?

That's settings. I'd have to look it up. Can't remember the fix off the top of my head.

Edit: Select the kicker and change the material to none.

There is currently (still) a problem in PinMAME with Whitestar II tables and the JIT speedup code..  :/

One can workaround it by searching for AT91jit in the registry and one will find this one for each machine.
Setting it to 0 will disable JIT, and (should) fix your issue..

When viewing the camera settings mode to adjust the inclination, x scale, y scale, etc the magna save LCtrl/RCtrl no longer work like they did on 10.2.1. Instead it is rotating the entire table around with those two buttons now. How to fix so that they instead scroll through the Inclination, X scale, Y Scale, etc settings?

@xantari : Same problem as Joppnl ? http://www.vpforums....e=7#entry386125

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

It looks like it. I have L Ctrl mapped to both LMagnaSave and Left Nudge, and R Ctrl to both RMagnaSave and Right Nudge.

This used to work and I'm not sure how I would not have it setup that way unless I had 3 buttons on the left and right side of cabinet.

If the game uses Magna save, that should take over in place of Nudge. If the game doesn't have a magnasave (which is most of them) then it would be the nudge buttons.

If I were to take a guess at what is wrong, it may have something to do with that new feature "Enable flying around (arrow keys + left alt key)". Because that function I believe is what is being triggered now from what I can tell (it rotates the table around with the LCtrl/RCtrl keys instead of rotating through inclinitation, x scale, etc values)

No (i think), actually i disabled that same keys can be used for multiple things.. Not because of evil intentions, but simply because i thought that people would not want to have it like that (e.g. assigning this kind of layout only by accident)..

Then i'll revert this..

I have in VPMKeys my frontKey on 57 ( Space ) and also Nudge Right in Editor on Space ( 57 ), but a Continue Game isnt possible,
if i take another Keycode in VPMKeys, it works ...

I cant use 57 for another, when i already use Space for Nudge ?

I have my keys setup that way because I have yet to get the gyroscope nudge controls to work the way I want them to, and it's a bit easier to hit those buttons for nudge sometimes then banging the cabinet around (it's on carpet, doesn't move well). :-)

Forget about my previous comment (as i did some stuff in that direction before version 10.2.1), just uncheck the option "Enable flying around (arrow keys + left alt key)" and it should work for you..

This problem is known and uncheck the option doesn't resolve it.

There are a few members, who have this issue; me too. :tapping:
