Physics 2.5 is a hacked version of FP. You need to download it, replace your original Future Pinball with the newly downloaded .exe and then use the same BAM launch .exe to execute it! Do it and thank me later ;)

The Physics are really good. Night and Day, really. After you do that, you can try setting the flippers to "soft" and " strenght" to the max. It will give you more bounce, kinda like VP.

To find the necessary file, just do a google search. Something like "future pinball physics 2.5 download mameui"  might work, who knows? ;)

Man, when you consider all the enhancements people have still managed to make to FP even though its creator abandoned it years ago, you can't help but wonder where it could be now if it had been made open source like VP was.  Such a shame...

Version 2.5.165 (Authors) - Textures are loaded into the editor for table creation.

Version 2.5.178 (Players) - No textures are loaded into the editor, faster loading time (newest version of dll used).

Found it. What version you running? think i will run 2.5.178

will try this tonight as i got nothing done at work yesterday cant do that again. HA!

.178 is all you need unless you plan on making your own tables.

Physics 2.5 are a huge improvement. The improvement I'm still waiting for is more accurate flipper control. I get super frustrated with FP when the flippers seem so much more random than VP or RL. BAM is really cool. Keep up the good work.

Ok, got everything set. The LED finger flashlights worked perfectly for calibration! Found a piece of Styrofoam in the garage, stuck four of those little lights (got 40 of them for 7 bucks at Amazon!). No wiring necessary, just plug, turn them on and go. The hat flashlight clip is indeed too bright. I added three layers of blue tape and it looks super nice and dim now. Worked perfectly, but in the future I plan to replace the original lights with IRs, just for saving battery, not because of functionality since it works great the way it is.

Very cool! Top notch videos. :otvclap:  :love39:  :love39:  :love39:
Whats the spacing of your eyetoys? with my "test" wii remotes seemed to have fairly tight angled cameras(causing to loose head tracking for a sec if i went outside camera angle)...but i was on a work bench and couldn't put them very far back.
i haven't put it on my cabinet but will.
Ok I see them by speakers, I couldn't get that spacing on the bench. Works better on cabinet for sure I would think

Hey Kris, just to confirm, are you using the cameras that were for the PS3?  I noticed there is a version of the eye toy for the PS2 as well.

PS3, not PS2. They are nice, fast and compact. 17 bucks at Amazon.

Hey neohusky,
What do you mean? The camera zoom or via software using BAM!'s camera FIX?

I offered my time to recreate some toys for Future Pinball. Since everything is 3D and this is what I do for a living, I'm planning on sculpting a collection of highly detailed 3D models that can be used on the recreation of other machines and for other platforms as well (new emulators, for example). For now, Future Pinball caught my attention because of the amazing job being done by a small group of dedicated individuals, dedicated to make Future Pinball fun again through the implementation of better physics, DMD support, LedWiz support, head tracking support, better lighting and shaders solutions etc.

Here's what I sculpted yesterday, for the Tales of Arabian Nights FP recreation:
