Terminator 2: Judgment Day VP9 v1.1RC

Version: 1.1.0RC
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): UncleReamus, Noah Fentz

Description:
VPM Recreation of Williams' Terminator 2: Judgment Day
This is a 'Release Candidate' for which future updates can be expected. The decal work adversely affected the flasher process, so it's been decided to release this version for your enjoyment while we rework the flashers and implement VPaint transparency.

One thing you'll note is the flippers. They are probably a lot different than what you're used to in VP. Noah spent countless hours playing real pinball, studying the flippers, and working on flipper settings to best match real flipper performance. We hope you like them!

Look for an update in the coming months.

Enjoy!

Update v1.1.0RC - Though we didn't plan on updating this particular version, there were some settings and objects impeding flipper passes. This version improves flipper passes immensely while preserving the realistic flipper speed and accuracy.

Bear in mind, due to the method in which I tried to implement the flashers, the table lacks animated rollovers and bumpers.

That will all be fixed once I implement VPaint transparencies.

kick ass !!! I was starting to wonder about this. Another great 90's release.. I noticed how JP's party zone has more downloads in 2 days than the last 5 tables posted and they have been up for weeks tongue.gif I bet this will reach 250 downloads in a few days as well. I cant wait to see what you guys come up with next !! <3

Hi Noah and UR,
This looks really awesome, can't wait to give it a spin. Offcourse you release when I have a family weekend planned..... :-) I'm especially curious to see how the new flipper feel will be! I played this table to death in my college years, so I still have sensory memories of how the real table felt and sounded, including the satisfying sci-fi pistol plunger grip,

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

Hi guys!
Awesome table, it looks and plays so well, congratulations.
About the flipper settings... I like it!
I wasn't happy with the flippers in my fish tales, I've tried your settings and now it plays much better smile.gif (I only increased the elasticity and decreased the scatter angle) so if you don't mind maybe I'll use it in my fish tales.

Excellent table so far. Great jobb guys!!

The flippers is very good but they play a little kind of vimpy. They lack the edge at the topp of the flippers
and therefore loosing it a little to much in the middle. No edge at the topp i would say.

The viewangle is a little bit to low. Raise the table up a bit and the table will play just so much better. It will be an awesome difference.
Almost everyone authoring tables get it wrong with the viewangle.

In my taste there is plenty of room to scale up the table a bit, cutting the dead parts. I would say a bigger playfield just adds so much more
to the funfactor. We all now how that sidepanel looks anyway.

Thanks.

Awesome! One of my favourites!

It plays very well and looks great. Although I agree with the comment on the viewing angle; it would be nice if it had a "Groni/JPS"-angle.

Thanks a lot guys!

Thanks for the Amazing Table release.

Its nice for slow PC.

Many thanks Noah and Unclereamus.

Setting for the rubber on the flips is a little bit to many.

The ball to many jump on the flips.
