VPX8 table and graphics by me, using images found on the web.

Great work.

 

I really like this table , the hopping ball for 1965 must have been a great feature.

I thought about it, but since there is just one ball, I thought it was better to make it automatic :) I'll see if I can add it later. The only reason I use to like the manual ball lift was to get a multiball :)

Anyway, Wednesday I'll have a knee replacement surgery, so I'll see what I can do later. I guess it won't be easy to sit in front of the computer for a few weeks :)

I was going to say, I thought this had a ball loader. Not a big deal, although I do have a ball loader on my cab. :tongue3:

 

I also thought there was already a VPX of this, but I was wrong! Thanks JP!

 

I hope your knee surgery goes well. My stepmom is already driving after her knee surgery. I hope you have the same speedy recovery.

UPDATE

 

1.0.1 Updated 02.05.2025
- Added manual ball lift as an option in the script.

 

Added the manual ball lift, by popular request :) But you need to change the script. At the top find

Const AutoBallLoading = True and change it to Const AutoBallLoading = False

Save the table and you can lift the ball using the right magna save.

If you prefer another key, then change the line 253:

        If Keycode = RightMagnaSave And AutoBallLoading = False Then

And replace the RightMagnaSave with the key you prefer.

Not sure what you mean.  "adding the DOF gear for numerical rotation"

in the vp9 version, when you turn the roto it activates the gear by DOF. I missed that in this update

Great table, thanks JP!

Like to ask: am I the only one not having DOF on this table?


Scratching my head as I checked everything I could come up with:

- yes I did generate a new DOFconfig

- yes I installed that 

- yes more the 4..500 tables do work with DOF

- yes DOF is an active plugin in this table when checked with the B2S

- yes I see some calls to Events with the right event numbers in the script

- yes this is the line in the directoutputconfig: ParadiseJP,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,E101,E102/E120,E103,E104,E109,E110/E112,E111/E108,0,E122 5000 I60,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
- yes the tables name in the script is ParadiseJP

- yes DOF is enabled in VPX.8 itself,
- and no I do not understand why it isn't working.


The only other weird thing is that (for me) DOF on Op-Pop-Pop isn't working as well.

Were NAGS (as an example of an older EM machine) is perfectly working (together with a lot of other tables.


Any suggestion?

DOFs definately working, for this and Op-Pop-Pop.

 

Just looked at my config.

it should read just this:-

 

ParadiseJP,E101,E108,E112,0,E104,E102/E120,E110,E109,E111,E103

 

and 

 

Op-Pop-Pop,E101,E110,E109,E108,E104,E102,E106,E105,E107,E103

Thank you Urko for your reply.

I did edit & delete a lot of zero's directly on my dof config file and I have some DOF working now (not as it should: a strobe light when pressing left flipper i.e. but ok, there is some respone).

Very strange though that the web-based dof config tool is not generating the right config for this table in my situation.

When I copy your string in my config I got the same : some strange lights when they should not be there but that's very much understandable as your HWsetup will be different then mine.

So....the table script seems ok (you confirmed) my dof is ok but the output from the dof generator is not valid as it looks like now to me.

Do you use the dof config tool V3 website?  (I wouldn't know if there is any other one at this moment but just to be sure)?

Are you using the default config like in the picture below?

Yes i uploaded the user config for public.

I even deleted my config last night and updated it again from the public to be sure, it works.

 

There must be something not right with your install , but i dont know what.

I loaded up JP's Paradise for the first time downloaded the new dof files and everything works fine
Are your new DOF files are being put into the right place
