The music is indeed missing from this table, as it is licensed music.

Those interested in supporting Scott can get it here ... https://www.scottdanesi.com

Yes, there's another, more polished version out there, but the authors don't care to share it here. You can get it from the pay-to-play site, though.

In the table script, change bMusicOn = True to bMusicOn = false

What resources did Scott Danesi provide for this version?
Edit: I took "The machine's creator, Scott Danesi, provided resources for the VPX table and wished to see it here" to mean that this VPX table was provided resources, but I guess it might not have been meant to read that way.

The version you used is an old one. There are newer versions at vpu.

That version has to have pinup player installed. The table will not load without it. I really don't want to have another wrestling match with another application today or even tomorrow just for one table.

Anyone know how to turn off the need for pinup player display in the other version? The script is massive.

What is version number?

Did you set usePinUP to 0 ?

Scott requested that the pup be required, so that it was true to the real machine.

Understandable. At this point it makes sense. Without it i have no idea what crucial info it should be giving me while playing this version with it disabled. If I feel like it maybe one day I'll invest the time to install pinup.

2.2. I was just told there's no way to play it without pinup installed. Meh. I just deleted it. I'm not in the mood to open another can of worms for one table. I already wasted 6hrs this morning trying to get the new VPW Jhonny Newmonic table to work and failing.

One glaring omission from this mod is the complete lack of light emanating from the edges of all the play field plexi. The edges on your table are dark. Look at any video of the real table and you see the edges of all the playfield plastics glowing brightly. I do like the attempt to brighten this table more than the VPW version that looks super dim in comparison. The real table is much brighter than your mod though. It's blindingly bright.

The table plays just fine without PuP. I play it all the time. VPU V2.3     totalnuclearannihilation0.jpg

Nice! How do I accomplish this with the VPW table? I posted a request on the support thread and this was the response:

  2 hours ago, GordonJames said:

I realize that pinup player needs to be installed, but is there no way to disable the need for that display in the script? I'm playing another version of the table that was just released and it doesn't require me to install pinup player to play the table. I would rather play this updated version. Cheers.

There isn't... well, you could technically disable it, but you'll likely lose pretty much all status information except the lights on the playfield and the scores.

Well first, I have PuP installed, but I have only about 4 tables that I use with it, & this is not one of them.

As you can see from the video, *no* virtual version of this table comes even close to the real deal. My objective was to provide a bit more excitement with the lighting on a table that runs well on an average computer on desktop, and without the need for PUP.  None of the lighting sequences match the real table, on this version or any other, so I'm not too hung-up about some of the other finer details either. It's just for fun - nothing more. BTW, I try not to use videos filmed in a dark room as reference, as it tends to skew the lighting.

VPW version is literally running Scott's light sequence code ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭

If you think it looks like the real one, you need your eyes checked.
