Klondike by Williams 1971, DT, FS and FSS version.
 
Interest in this table has recently rekindled,
the playfield was already ready, I took the best images of the plastics I had, and drew them again.
 
The basis of the scripts is based on a EM table by JP Salas, and other code arrived from the Klondike version by Leon Spalding.

you should have this file "Klondike1971.txt", try to delete it and restart the table.

Maybe there is already another table saving scores with the same name, please leave me some time to investigate.

With error looking like this :

Type mismatch: 'cdbl'

It's a problem with the file registering the scores.

 

Usually i just erase the .txt named from the table in the Visual Pinball\User folder
Try to erase Klondike1971.txt and it should be ok !

The reel on the playfield give me headache, it's protected by bumper so you need chance and accurate shot at the same time.

It's perfect for a little bit of "let's try another game, maybe this time...."

 

edit : the DOF is not public yet, probably because the admin are sleeping. I hope it will be published soon !

I just updated the table, I haven't changed its name or version,

now the highscores are saved under another name to avoid conflicts with other tables.

I downloaded the updated table, and it fixed error 1519 for only the first time launching the table.

After that, I keep getting the error unless I delete the KlondikeK1971.txt file from the User directory before launching the table.

I just updated the table, I haven't changed its name or version,

That's odd because with a savename of Klondike1971, it shouldn't conflict.

 

I was getting the same error as leeoneil also but deleting the score file did the trick.

 

However, with your update I was getting CBDL errors every time, so I reverted back to the first release.

Thanks to Joppnl, I think I figured out where the problem is, please wait.....

I fixed the score loading problem thanks to Joppnl's tips,

the settings are again saved under the name "Klondike1971",

if it doesn't work you will probably have to delete the "Klondike1971.txt" file again, hopefully for the last time.

 

Sorry for the inconvenience, there are always new things to learn.

Try deleting the TXT, launch the table and exit without playing, open the TXT file and check that there are no empty lines.
