Bigus Strikes again with another apparent low value-add Rip-Off. Yeah I said it, just like 32asassin said it not too long ago. So lets rip this Band-aid off!

So you mentioned you gave this FH mod a makeover, and you mentioned specifically you made a better playfield. Below is a side-by-side of our two tables PLUS a close up shot to show PF detail.

untitled212.png

For shits and giggles, lets just look at our two playfield images side-by-side.

playfieldcompare.png

Please explain to me how these two images are any different?

Does anybody else here see any difference?

So, you did NOT ask for permission to mod this table just like with many of the previous mods you have done. I will blindly assume that since there is a parameter regarding mods that needs to be filled in when uploading a table on this site, then it must have a purpose and should probably be respected.

In case you missed it:

approval.png

Quoting you below:

quote.png

" I make reasonable efforts to contact the authors that require approval, and follow policy otherwise."

100% TOTAL BULLSHIT PERIOD END OF STORY!!!

So I am gonna repeat what I have said before. I have no issue with anyone modding a table that I and the other very talented contributors have created. But, what you bring to the table for the most part seems to be lighting or physics revisions and little else. IMO, this is an insult to the team that spent countless hours putting FH together. And, dont get me started on the playfield improvement again, because I dont see it, and again I am calling Bullshit.

For the record, I have never denied anyone permission to mod my tables. I just simply request that it unquestionably looks better, plays better, and improves the overall experience - none of which I see in your mod here, or most of your previous mods for that matter. Now, had you actually made a better version, or even partially made a better version, there would be no issue at all, and we would not be here. But once again, here we are just like so many times before.

Overall, the authors that spend their time here making tables simply deserve much more respect that what you give them. It seems that you are routinely pissing people off including many who dont even make tables.  What also chaps my ass are your comments like this in some of your table descriptions:

From your Judge Dredd Mod:

"This is Dozer's sweet work with a buff and polish.
Great sound and light show with a laugh :)
1.2 Improved physics for much better gameplay"

Yep, pretty insulting to the original author.

From you Attack From Mars Mod:

"One of my favorite tables from JPsalas - a real beauty.
2.0 has all new lighting and better gameplay
Enjoy".

Yep, pretty insulting to the original author.

From your Genie Mod:

"A classic table from 32assassin. Funky sounds and good gameplay.
I've given it a fresh makeover and new physics.
2.0 requires VP10.7 and is much more fun
Enjoy :)".

Yep, pretty insulting to the original author.

From your King Kong Mod:

"This fun table from Javier requires accurate shots but plays well.
I've given it a makeover and a lot of physics changes.
2.0 has many improvements and plays much better.
Enjoy :)"

Yep, pretty insulting to the original author.

From your Scorpion Mod:

"This wide-body table from Allknowing2012 is a nice challenge as it piles-on the pressure with the sound.
1.2 has new physics and sound and plays much better.
Enjoy :)"

Yep, pretty insulting to the original author.

"From your Fish Tales Mod:

This fun and popular table is thanks to melon, pinball58 and Loaded Weapon.
If you love punching ramps - look no further! Great sound too.
2.1 has new physics, lights and sound and much better gamelay.
Enjoy :)"

Yep, pretty insulting to the original author.

I could go on and on, but I think I have made the point and have shown yet again,  your lack of respect to the original authors. Ultimately, I am just saying what many authors are thinking, and of course, many have already stated their opinions on the matter in the past. But I will give you credit for one thing. You sure know how to rub people the wrong way, as history has shown.

Now with all of this said, I will offer you some advice. Consider taking a table with the authors permission and plan on making substantial improvements that will elevate it well above its current state. I will guarantee that the author will have absolutely have no objections to this. Take my FH table and do it, and I will be the first to applaud you. In fact, the scaling of the playfield is a bit off. You might consider scaling the PF to actual size and re-positioning everything accordingly. If you were to do something like that, again, I would be the first to applaud you. Now that would be a real makeover with some significant value add that goes beyond a lighting and physics tweak.

It also seems fairly obvious that you have passion here and that's a very good thing, and with a little reflection and some vision, you could very well elevate your game and turn out some very high quality work. But above all, just show some more respect to the authors in the community and their works and efforts.

You don't respond to me and there's a rule for that. I'd prefer not to do it this way, but if you ignore me, I'll go by the book. Free-to-mod authors are major contributors. Sorry.

I asked for permission to do BOP and got crickets, so I answered a couple of your recent forum questions to break the ice and ....zip   Totally rude.

After that rant, you'd be hard-pressed to make anyone believe that you'd give me a fair go. Like I said - I gave up trying.

Thank you for confirming you just lied to us all and had never asked permission to mod FH. I give you big props for further making yourself look stupid and disrespectful.

I dont recall you ever reaching out about BOP but to be fair, I have not been very active around here since 2020 or so. Had I seen you had reached out, I would have said "have at it" assuming it was not some no-value-add lighting/physics revision like you are so famous for. However, I would even have suggested some things that the table could have certainly used, and supported you.

BTW, I am still waiting to hear how you made my FH playfield image better. Just for reference, here are the two playfields once again:

playfieldcompare.png

Where is the difference? Please tell us. You said you made it better, so its time to stand by the claim. IMO, It could not be more obvious that you just want to take folks content, slap you name on it to boost your own content list. Prove me wrong!

That's something else that I longer do - I don't jump through hoops to prove shit to anybody because they don't acknowledge it anyway, but, the pf was detailed primarily on the inserts, levels adjusted to better accept my lighting and then run through DenoiseAI to clean the image. The better clarity is easily observed on the big red insert, and it stops the lights getting washed-out and just looks better. I never said I had permission from you. The rules gave me the permission.

Thanks for the excellent table to you and all the other contributors :)

The rules gave me the permission.

Oh these rules:

untitled86.png

LMAO! I Lets just go with better big arrow, and the insert detail is a MAJOR improvement. Rrrright!

I wonder why you are still working with this playfield photo when I have a perfect scan?

Had he done that, I would not have said a single word. That would certainly have fit the definition of a MAJOR change making it clearly worthy of a mod.

bigus, lets say: wrd is totaly right about that - in the past, i also meant: FIXES, and got Permission, and something is better - yes, so i always asked you about something to the Table ...

You also could write down a Post to the Table Support Page ... but pick that up 100% for your Works, is not ok ... imo. thats all.

Bob, i am also a Fan, not for all Tables, but some - but there are Rules too - and fine good Authors.

Clark, i hope you can send that to wrd ;)

BTW the playfield is not the major change on this table - it's the lighting - and you won't miss that if you actually play the thing. There's also a ball trap fixed on the ramp, which ended your game, although that may have been fixed on wrd1972's latest version.

I explained here the proper way to ask permission ACCORDING to the site rules, and have basically said I would be fine with him doing it as well. But, I would request that some real value-add (major changes again according to the rules) be included. I even said I would tell him what it really needs, such as a re-scaling the PF image. :moon:
