Hi Guys

 

I have had a CAB for years but I am currently wiping all my older games and going strictly to VpinbalX tables

 

I tried to get Iron Maiden going but am stuck.  The 1st message that I get when starting the table is Script Error "LoadEM"

 

What does this mean and do you guys have any advice

if you are getting an error on LoadEM, my guess would be

 

VPX out of date

 

VPX scripts out of date

 

Non official scripts in script or tables folder

Man,  I just cant figure this out.  I have completely wiped all flies out and started to reload them file by file and configure them for the second time. Getting rid of all VP9 tables and just downloading PinBall X tables. All files are latest and greatest.  I get the same error on Iron Maiden as i stated above. It wouldn't have anything to do with windows registry, would it?  Is anyone else having this issue?

when you say wiping all files
does this include wiping your existing VPX folder and then installing from the official VPX installer from the downloads section here
and installing it, and NOT adding any other scripts to VPX at all.

Or i guess in your case, since you use PUP
Installing from the latest version of the baller installer.

 

On thing you can check
Disconnect cab from internet entirely

Now temporarily disable your antivirus entirely

Now try loading the table.

The is just to see if AV might be blocking vbs file execution

I wiped everything and have just loaded X on my D drive (SSD Dirve and started fresh).  I only downloaded Vpinball X and am only playing the games by opening X (or Vpinball 10.7.1) So whatever was automatically put into the scripts folder when installing

 

I have no Antivirus running since this is a CAB and haven't put any frontend on it yet.  Just set up backglass and DMD and have been playing the games so far

 

anything else that I could have screwed up?

This table has never worked properly in my experience.

the support thread has info on some lines of code you can comment out to stop the errors.

I could never get the music to work.

is flexdmd registered?

Go into your table folder and try running FlexDemo.vpx table.

If it runs, Flex is installed and registered.

(If you run the All-In-One VPX Installer, FlexDMD is installed automatically. )

 

Or better yet, go inside of your VPinMAME folder and run FlexDMDUI.exe.

 

This will bring up window telling you if it is registered or not.

 

Notice on mine at bottom, it says FlexDMD requires NET Framework 4.8 which was not found on my computer.

So make sure you have NET Framework 4.8 installed.

I have a mismatch  in dll files (revisions) and I cant seem to find the correct ones for FLEXDMD

 

DMDdevice is 10.2

DMDdevice64 is 9.0

 

I dont know how to remove these files and start with a fresh install.  I am not sure which files should be removed either.  So Confusing.  I have 3 machines that wont play because of these missing or wrong files

dont worry about dmddevice64
vpx does not use it

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone supply me with version matching DMDdevice and DMDdevice64 files? I would like to iind version 10.2.1 files

 

I have looked all over the internet to find these, but cant.

 

Is there any other way to reinstall this as I cant get it functioning so that I can Register it.  I have 2 RED Xs when I run the registration file.

I would like to delete all related files so I can reinstall but dont know which files to delete or how to proceed. See above photo of my registration file.  When I go to get the installation files for Major Frenchy,  they are outdated and the registration file tells me so.  When I go to reddit to get the latest, they dont include one of the files (that is at the older revision

 

Thanks to all that know more than I on this subject than I. I dont know how the files got screwed up.  FlexDMD is being difficult.

You dont need the 64bit dmddevice.dll at all
It isnt used
But there would be no need to search the internet for it, as it is right in freezy's github on the release page in the same location the 32bit download is

 

click the two REGISTER buttons and ignore message about 64bit.

Also, no idea what "Reddit" you are downloading things from, but reddit is the official source of Nothing
Freezy has an official github, It is the Only official source of dmddevice extensions    Releases · freezy/dmd-extensions (github.com)
Vbousquet has an official github, It is the Only official source of flexDMD    Releases · vbousquet/flexdmd (github.com)

Again, at this point there is nothing you need to download

Got the latest from FREEZY

 

I cant seem to get it to register (or get the green Check Marks)

 

I click on both of them and is spins for a second, but never get the green check marks.

 

I am running Windows 7 pro,   does this have anything to do with it?

 

What circumstances could there be that I couldn't get the GREEN CHECK MARKS?

To be real, (and this isn't solving your problem) but no Iron Maiden table is complete enough to worry so much about making it work when other tables run fine.  Just play those instead.   Iron Maiden isn't done yet.   

 

But yes, it seems your FLEXDMD install is a good thing to fix.

I agree, 

 

On the other hand, I have loaded 4 other tables that need FlexDMD to be able to run.  They crash before they start stating " Cant load Object  FlexDMD 

 

Any other thoughts?

Use the All-In-One Installer.

It will install and register FlexDMD for you.

Can I just click on your above link and it will install all correct files over incorrect files?    or do I have to remove all the old files first?

It will install over old files.

First you download VPX7setup.zip from the above link.

Then you extract and run the exe.
