I made a front end with python. I call it PINBALLwizard.

 

From games in my archive I can view screenshots and read table information and rulesets. I can launch the games. 

PINBALLwizard launches through the VPT, VPX or FPT editors but it could be made to skip the editor with help from VP coders.

 

I envision a website with screenshots and table information from every game ever made. 

Each user has their own archive, and can download or create more games.

Users should upload new games and screenshots to the web site.

 

I have different types of games in my archive.  

PINBALLwizard groups games as pinball, pachinko, prototype, bagatelle, casino, arcade, other.

 

This front end could also launch other games besides VP and FP.

 

I couldn't apply a screenshot...

 

If my front end were used, if maybe the master archive were here, I would get paid something?

I want to see a screenshot before I play, like any video game on the market. I want to know the ruleset, without which the gameplay is compromised greatly. The archive would be a great one stop place to get any information about any game.

 

I would like the people in charge to tell me they have no interest.

 

This project required my work, I deserve something from it. VP forum doesn't exist for free.

I could offer it here in the downloads as a demo version. Those who wanted could buy the full version.

2) Every FREE Pinball front end in existence, and even some non pinball front ends Already do every single thing you just mentioned

And VP Forum most certainly does exist for free, it doesn't cost you a damned dime, and all the content of it is freely available to you

I was terribly unkind to Turnips everywhere, and i never met a Turnip i did not like.

 

Mind you i ate them, but i liked them, and they enjoyed a warm bath with many fiends like carrots and parsnips etc before hand

PinUp Popper provides most of what you're saying this offers, including a server with media that you can grab from, and it does it completely for free.

 

PinballX provides most of what you're saying this offers, including servers with media that you can grab from, and only the media servers require any sort of subscription, and is otherwise doing it completely for free.

 

PinballY provides most of what you're saying this offers, and it does it completely free.

 

You gotta compete against free and provide enough added benefits over what the free options are providing that people will pay for it.

Oh, pinballX has much media for free.
I know they have a lot for subscription also, but there is a ton of it totally free

Ive used launchbox, which is not optimal for a cab, but for people with multi platform setups
things like that work well too
