This excellent table from Dozer and JP keeps you entertained with challenges.
I've given it a makeover and some updates.
3.0 has new modulated lighting and physics for 10.8/3.6
Enjoy :)

I run a few hundred games through a table before I post because ball traps give me the screaming shits.

I could not get that far on the one i tried a little bit ago, ball stuck everywhere
Then i saw you put one up and grabbed it

then i was like "Oh! so this is how it's supposed to work"

I might try applying JP's physics to it
He has spoiled me with actually being able to snag a ball with the flippers.

Not that i can do a damned thing useful with it after i got it, but i pretend i know what i'm doing.

Bigus1, great job on this. Playfield and lighting looks really nice. Speaking of physics, did you make any changes or still.playing like the old TT Merlin Mod?

I only ask because for the first time in history, I conquered the kingdom and ended up with a score of just shy of 105 million, so either I really played a solid game or the table is too easy. Comparing your version to Skitso's, I've never been able to get more than 58 million. Was just curious 🙂

It mostly has Dozer's version physics (maybe it's JP's) intact, with only minor tweaks from me. I couldn't really fault it. If it aint broke....

Oh no, for sure. Please don't get me wrong, I love the way it plays. I've always believed that every version should play different. No 2 real tables of the same title play the same, so neither should in VP 🙂. Thank you as always for your mods, I enjoy them all.

Table looks great but could be more awesome with JP 3.0 physics.

Well congratulations on your acheivement. I have been trying to get that honor for quite a while and have never gotten close. If there is an ultimate goal to a table it should be achievable . I felt the same about Attack from Mars which Bigus redid and after many many plays I got to be Ruler of the Universe...something which seemed impossible on all previous versions. I will be aggressively playing MM now!

I've played quite a few games now and it seems there is an issue with the castle gate. Sometimes it gets confused and is in the wrong position. Sometimes it doesn't register a hit. Plays well other than that

Bigus/Dozer&JP thanks for the table. In testing I am noticing a distorted sound when I hit the castle gate. Kind of sounds like and explosion sound repeated several times, but distorted. I realize the sample quality for the ROM back in 97 may have been of a lower quality for that era so that is what we probably got in the original game. I'll keep hammering the castle to see if I can pin down the distortion. Once again, thanks any and all who contributed to this fun table. I appreciate it. mrjc.

That is the ROM audio itself, not one of the table sounds
Turn Audio level in the ROM to between 24 and 28, it will help some.
Just how the ROM is i guess?

Table looks great but could be more awesome with JP 3.0 physics.

Taking a stab at it, i will see how it works out, then talk to biggus

Yep big help Wies, I'll throttle back the master volume. Also kind of figured we were stuck with the sample quality from the original ROM anyway.  Unless there is a way to mute targeted ROM based samples, we are kind of stuck with what the ROM pushes out.  Also BTW, Bigus,,,, I really love the addition of Merlin on the playfield, a really nice touch there !!  And I hit my highest game ever with your table last night going over 100 million & 28 Trolls. Game plays fantastic it has a great feel for hitting the castle gate over and over. Thanks.

altsound

but i think you have to do the whole ROM audio library, not just s single sound?

Did you guys ever look at using JP 3.0 physics?

Hello,

I have a curious error, the Troll trapdoors don't show, not even the Troll, it's just dark, but the physics is still there, the ball hits them somehow...

the plastic with the archers, which is close to the flippers, were also altered, they became whitish, opaque and it was not possible to see the ball passing under it.

this happened after changing POV parameters, can it have any influence?

thickening the chorus.... and JP's 3.0 physics? leaves?

thanks

Do not think the POV should harm it, but did you save the POV to the table, or export it
If exported and not saved to the table, delete the POV file and try again

If saved to table, maybe it corrupted during saving, may have to re-download it

I made the POV adjustments and then I saved the table, after that this bug occurred...

I came back with the table in the original settings and the problem was solved... I decided not to change these settings for this table anymore...

but I've noticed on some tables that when we change inclination, for example, some graphic elements are lost... I don't remember now, but if I'm not mistaken, one of GoldChicco's recent tables has a small inclination set (1.2 or something like that) and if this inclination is set to 0, the bumper covers are gone!!

Hi Bigus in general when you say "makeover" to you your table mods, what kinds of things are you doing in a "makeover"?

Hi there. I am at the point of frustration. How do solve a credit dot problem of -

check switch F6 U.R. flipper button and F8 U.L. flipper button when it doesn't even exist on this game. I know it has something to do with an opto but can't find information on it. I seem to have it on MM and other Bally's as well. Its just annoying. Any suggestions?
